Fresh Story

Not gonna lie, I didn't expect much but it's worse than I thought. The visuals for the most part are 4/10 at best and worse than most aver AVN's, some renders and scenes are outright ugly to look at. Lewd content is vanilla and is very few and far inbetween and sex only happens between other characters not the MC and the MC only has sex like once with her boyfriend. It's a bit of a wasted potential. I was hoping of a corruption game similar to Steps of Debauchery but I started falling asleep when the game made me to have to spend a full weekend with MC's boyfriend, how boring. The story is okayish but never goes anywhere and some decisions are really confusing. The MC is very prude and never agrees to do anything, yet when her boss has his hand fractured she agrees to help him pee by holding his ♥♥♥♥ and then masturbating him so he can pee. Like normally she seems to have sharp senses and why would a guy need help with that? Who can't pee with just 1 hand? I mean like it's neat to have a scene where she does something sexual for once with someone that is not her BF, but why use such a stupid situation that doesn't make sense? I'm pretty much always a fan of female protagonist adult games, so I'm fairly easy to please. I thought the amount of content in this game was reasonable for the price. It goes through Day 19 or so, and each day introduces or continues plots from the previous. They start to place the threads for a variety of fantasies, so I expect the follow-up games will have a lot going on. They did a good job with the tease and build up here though. I'm glad this wasn't a waste-my-time "open world" game where you feel like a rat in a skinner box just pulling levers hoping something happens. I much prefer the flow of making choices and seeing how they play out. That said, there were a few bugs. Around 75% into the game, some of the conversations started having repeated lines of dialogue, in a very "this record is skipping" sort of way. Clearly unintentional. There were moments where scenes glitched into each other. It's the kind of thing that happens often with Ren'Py (the game engine they use). It is not very often I fail a game on a review. More often than not I do try to encourage the attempt. But after some rather one sided debating with my staff, I feel that I must and I was placed on a set of mandatory limitations. instead of reviewing this whole product in the whole. I will do chapters 1 and 2 separately. I do NOT approve of this standard. I choose to comply only because it is appropriate to do so on behalf of other readers / players. Such is the Faustian deal with any Eros genre game. So then, having said all of that, I will try to keep this simple. Five things plague this story like a disease that is as consistent as they are malicious. The first and most noticeable is that this whole project is sloppy. the writing is lazy and dysfunctional. the statement made of it being from an eastern culture must not be any form of excuse. In one word: Blueballs. It's a short game with a small gallery, and even then, most hot scenes literally just get cut off with no conclusion. The visuals are nice, and I like the story, but pacing is too slow for spicy content that is way too tame. This is like a tv show that takes all season to get to the point, and even by the end, nothing really happens. The MC is too prudish, so everything leads to just teasing. The potential is there, but hard to recommend when the animation is this low effort. I want to see where Fresh Story goes, but hope the pacing picks up, and there's a lot more action.

A lot of setup that doesn't really go anywhere. The art is pretty solid with most character models looking pretty good.
