Premise Zach-like factory automation game. Build a factory to sort fruit. Deep Dive ...but with a full physics engine. Manage the whimsical chaos as things go wrong (or right) in surprising ways. Regrets None really. I would love to see this concept taken even further. Assessment A really brilliant twist on the factory automation genre, which has become kind of stale in the shadow of its most successful implementations. The physics engine isn't merely a random chaos agent, but rather something that you need to understand and control to make progress. Difficulty is satisfying but never "brain-melting," and it ramps up nicely as each level introduces some kind of new ideas. Recommended for fans of Zach-likes who want something new, and also for those who find the genre too intimidating to explore. [i]Note to the developer: I think that the thumbnail that appears for this game in search results is doing it a huge disservice - presently it is a low-poly generic looking man in a suit, which has the ae…7 found this helpful
Fruit Factory is just an awesome fruit sorting puzzle game. It's very satisfying to see all those random fruits rolling all over the place but pushed clumsily and inevitably by your conveyor belts to where they need to go. The game has 32 standard levels + 4 "DLC" levels + 8 secret levels. Some of them are very challenging yet doable with a little bit of creativity, but there is one level (DLC 4) that I can't get 3 apples on. The biggest puzzle however is, Why does this game only have 2 reviews? The only issues I have are minor things with the controls and user interface. I wish the scroll wheel was used to turn the conveyor belt instead of changing the elevation, and the Escape key should work more often to get out of menus. The game runs smoothly without bugs, the soundtrack fits the silly visual style of the game. It simply looks and plays great. imo Fruit Factory deserves at least 100 (positive!) reviews. We need more of this kind of quality game.5 found this helpful
This game is so addicting and fun!! Reminds me of a simpler automachef. I love how there arent any mechanics that are too complex. They are introduced at the right time and not all the levels use all new mechanics. The levels are very challenging but not in an annoying way. Makes you feel really smart when you finally get it. Its also fun to try to edit the level to get under the budget. PLEASE add a level editor!!!!!!3 found this helpful
This was such a fun game! It has a perfect balance of being enough of a challenge to keep you interested but not so much so that you get frustrated. I enjoyed the puzzles and could easily lose track of time solving them. It's a great game to just pick up for a bit when you want a break or play for hours on end. Highly recommend!1 found this helpful
Fun little physics based game, it has very simple basic mechanics, but trying to fit everything the correct way to get all 3 stars (apples) has definitely been a challenge. Haven't beaten the game yet but i recommend it so far. Can't go wrong while its on sale.
