A oneshot game set in a cyberpunk world with an old fashioned cowboy protagonist and good comedy but a bit of a spotty UI. Each chapter starts with a comic book cutscene summarizing what happened prior or inbetween chapters. These are drawn really well and have quite a few funny panels! The designs of the environments and characters are great and just the right amount of grungy or eccentric. Additionally the 3D environments come together pretty well with the 2D character sprites. The soundtrack is good as well though not particularly memorable to me. There is a mix of seriousness and comedy, I would even say it is balanced 50/50 with the underlying issues of a murder,[spoiler]people disappearing, a crazed CEO destroying lives for his own entertainment[/spoiler], etc. yet most of the character interactions are of a more comedic nature and each individual having their own quirks. I certainly enjoyed the story, though it doesn’t really bring anything deeper to the table than the common cyberpunk theme of greedy corporations being bad. However issues arise with the UI. Short and sweet adventure full of charm and interesting characters! Loved the art-style and writing especially, recommend to anyone who is a fan of visual novels or cowboys !!!

Future Cowboy is a really fun little narrative adventure that immediately won me over with its ridiculous combination of cowboys and a futuristic dystopian city. I play as a wannabe cowboy whose ranch has been burned down, sending me into the city to investigate the corporation responsible. I liked how the game balances a revenge story with plenty of comedy, because it never takes its bizarre setting too seriously. The gameplay is mainly focused on investigating suspects, following leads and making dialogue choices. I enjoyed talking to different characters because the conversations are where most of the personality comes from. The branching choices also give me some control over how the story develops, which made me pay more attention to what I was saying instead of simply clicking through every conversation. The investigation itself is simple but enjoyable. I spend time looking for clues, questioning people and gradually piecing together what happened to my ranch. I liked that the game breaks up the narrative with smaller mini games as well. These sections prevent the experience from becoming nothing but dialogue, while still keeping the overall focus on the story. The futuris…

It is a funny and absurd game, the character looks like Clint Eastwood and has an absurd and funny smile. I also love that this game has guides, so I can get 100% achievement.
