About Galactic Delivery

Galactic Delivery is an ambient relaxing game. Designed for you to listen to chill music while delivering packages as an intern. In this game, you'll choose how many packages you want to deliver for the day, and as you make your deliveries you generate revenue. At the end of your internship, you'll be evaluated to see if the company will hire you on as full time. At this point, you can choose to continue playing as an employee.

As you visit different planets, you'll meet all sorts of different alien races. Some of them are strictly business, and sometimes they'll want to chat with you a bit. When visiting these planets, you'll have the opportunity to buy goods at current market value. As the game progresses the market value will change, giving you a chance to sell at a profit at the traveling bazaar. You'll also be able to pick up side quests. These will not be mandatory to delivery, as they aren't assigned by your company in the morning. Just a great way to make a little extra.

Every day during your internship, you'll unlock a new song to play on your radio. By the end of your internship, you'll have a whole album to swap through. Picking the song you like most while doing your daily deliveries.

Galactic Delivery doesn't really try to sell itself as more than it is. It doesn't promise exciting gameplay, and it certainly doesn't have that, and it proclaims relaxing music which it certainly delivers on. However, at the end of the day, a game has to be fun to play and Galactic Delivery just doesn't seem to be able to pull that off.
Design Potential and Not Meeting It
It's strange to me to see a game that seems like it would have such a clear premise try instead to do something that doesn't really fit the general idea that it falls within. I assumed going in that this would be some sort of high score chasing arcade style game that would have bits reminiscent of Crazy Taxi. That would have been a reasonable thing to jump in and play for bits of time with maybe some challenges and leaderboards to keep it exciting. Instead, the developer tried to create a more narrative experience with characters and some rudimentary dialogue that only serves to slow the game down. As I moved forward in the game and encountered repeated dialogue bits that I clamored to skip as fast as possible, I stopped even caring if anyone said anything new because it was never interesting to …

Galactic Delivery is an interesting little game where you have to deliver packages across the galaxy. You can get side missions and try to get a high score while trying to finish your day before the daily deadline or you'll lose some money for undelivered packages. This is an alright little game and I actually like a lot about this but I do feel like it's fairly light on content. You have a 15 day internship at the company and when that is done you can choose to either end the game or continue on (I assume endlessly) delivering packages. The game really feels like it ends after the internship though because everything after that feels like just more of the same. Graphically this is quite nice to look at. The pixel art is very appealing and I really love the art style. The warpping looks great and the few characters you see are also decent. The music is a mix of really nice laid back psy-ambient style music with quite a few different tracks to listen to. It's very relaxing and reminds me a bit of the music in Fez. I would give this a very soft and light recommend - mostly if it's on sale. Everything here is good but there just isn't enough here. I want more of this, I like this …

[FIXED]Say no to Sine once about being done early, and you game can't progress because it locks up before he gives you your review for that day.[FIXED] Devs were very quick to fix the issue, since it was my only actual issue with the game I changed my review to positive.

I had the pleasure of playing this game over the last two weeks. The game's title serves as the perfect forecast to what to expect in the game play. With that said, I personally prefer games with more content and a longer amount of game play. I was hoping for more to do with the random items you can buy from random planets but all and all, it's a short, simple, and sweet game. I have to say the pixel art in this is so beautiful and the soundtrack is very nice and relaxing.
Galactic Delivery is Mediocre For $1.99
Galactic Delivery is what you'd expect from a game as cheap as it is. It's a step above the random flash game ripoffs that somehow end up on Steam, but not by far. This is the sort of game you get an hour of at most if you really push the lack of content that it has. Delivering packages in space with a simple system for managing fuel and money in place isn't that entertaining when the dialogue is dull. If there was a strong story in place with interesting missions, I'm sure it would have kept me playing. However, Galactic Delivery doesn't do enough to keep you interested. Nonetheless, I can't blame the developer, for as cheap a price as it is, you only have so large a budget.
