Gedaria is a true diamond in the rough, a game that shines despite the occasional rough edges. While it's not without its bugs and glitches, the passion and dedication of the developers shine through in every aspect of this enchanting adventure. Platforming game with unreliable mechanic and painful lack of testing. The hero of the game is a kid whose parents have been taken by the local authorities. You go after them, armed only with a rake, and give everybody who is in your path a bloody nose. Rake is your only weapon and the game's key unique feature. You can use a standard or heavy attack, set it in front of you to defend yourself, and rake the leaves scattered around. When you put them together in a specific location, you will make a pile of leaves that will assist you in reaching a higher platform. The design of the game is quite amateurish and broken. Although visually decent, everything appears to have been created with a simple graphics engine and a low number of animations. 2D objects and characters look like they’re placed in the world and don’t react accordingly, which means that a huge pile of leaves or an enemy might be floating in air. Sadly, the unique feature of raking leaves to create a bigger pile is not very good. First stage or two are fine because solutions aren’t complex, but later you need to pull leaves at different strength or into air currents that may or may not take the leaf to its destin…
