An isometric nature walk through a beautiful poly world. The audio is incredible and the combat makes you feel like you are living on the edge. There's so many gorgeous things about this game and it's so very well built. The spells are fun and interesting, the enemies are a force to be reckoned with, and the little hideaway places are leaving me with a piece of the story with each discovery. Don't let this game pass you by without a try.10 found this helpful
Leaf is simply fun. It is a simple yet engaging adventure game where you explore and traverse a strange world to help stabilize it. Mastering the combat and different abilities gives a satisfying feeling; and combined with great level design, excellent music and beautiful art, it is a great experience.9 found this helpful
Leaf is a great experience, set in a beautiful world filled with interesting quirky creatures. What is there not to love? Good gameplay. Engaging story. Superb art. Breathtaking soundtracks. Relaxing and immersive experience Terrific game. Overall, just trust me and play it, you won't be disappointed.6 found this helpful
No. Looks lovely, but the controls in combat are just dreadful, and punching robots with your stick is basically the game's only challenge. I was expecting an indie Zelda-like with clever puzzles and acceptable combat - something like Ittle Dew, which is better and cheaper - but Leaf is a bare shell of a game, not worth anyone's time.6 found this helpful
Leaf is a fun and interesting title, the combat is weird but I'll give you the run down. You focus on an enemy by pressing F, once engaged with an enemy do left click for two hit light attack and right click for a single heavy attack, numbers are for magic spells if you got them. space to dodge, you have to dodge an enemy's attack then attack but they can dodge too. Unfortunately its only a robot design but modified into different enemies and NPCs and there arent that many npcs to talk to for hints. But the music is swell and if we could get some more enemy types besides robot with attack and robot with projectile, etc. The low-poly style makes me feel like its a mix between lttp and oot. But that might just be due to see other games like it, also there are places you might get softlocked and if you try to quit your save then reload you'll just end up in the same softlocked position meaning you will have to delete your save. Plot is very vague and doesn't give you all the necessary steps to go to your objective which is the Tesseract in the temple. Plus the mystery alphabet language makes this even harder with no place to find where this alphabet system is early on, players will …2 found this helpful
It was nice, actually; the music helped amplify the atmosphere of the game, and its exploration aspect is really cool. However, the combat was something that needed improvement. Plus points for being able to change the damage taken and damage dealt though.2 found this helpful
