About Geist Heist

After the eccentric collector Oliver O. Hubert met his unexpected end, all he could ask for in his afterlife was to rest peacefully with his esteemed collection of wares... Yet a new museum is opening in his old mansion, featuring all of his things! There's no way Ollie will let such insolence continue. It's time to take back what's rightfully his! Let the Geist Heist begin! Master your Ghostly Powers:
  • Possess various objects around the museum
  • Utilize the objects to sneak past guards
  • Remain unseen by the security staff
  • Use your wits and creativity to evade their grasps
  • Carefully time puzzles and interactions to avoid being caught
Enter the Museum:
  • Explore the newly renovated museum that you once called home
  • Make your way through the wings of the museum
  • Discover the library, kitchen, and bedroom exhibits
  • Listen to the Intercom and Oliver O. Hubert's colorful commentary
Once a Collector, Always a Collector:
  • Obtain your most prized possessions at the end of each wing
  • Hide your treasures inside a massive globe
  • Find wearable hats throughout the wings
  • Complete additional challenges to obtain more stylish options
  • Escape the museum with everything you've collected
Using your powers of possession, travel through the wings of the museum one by one, collecting a special belonging at the end of each one. And remember: don't get caught!

As a former Bradley student myself, I'm incredibly impressed with the quality of this year's capstone projects, it's fantastic to see the program grow and see games like this one produced as a result! This year's projects are leagues ahead of what my class managed to achieve during our senior year (not to discount our hard work, of course!) Right away I loved the jaunty background track, and I thought the sound design was quite good! The whole game is visually appealing, the animations are smooth and seamless (from what I could tell), and the gameplay is straightforward. There's a reason collectathons like Banjo Kazooie were so popular back in the day; there's a certain wonder that comes from exploring interesting environments and finding little trinkets hidden away in nooks and crannies, and Geist Heist's level design seems to really scratch that itch. The dim lighting and shadows create a sense of mystery and invite the player to look around and search the dark corners for the different relics. I was impressed with how big the levels are, even just the first one got me lost pretty quickly! All in all, a fantastic game! I'm also impressed with the steam achievement integration, …

a really cool short free game with a cool artstyle but it has a few problems like i believe some objects were still being rendered behind walls so it was super laggy and i had to get my stronger computer in order to play the game also some of the key doors would open/rotate very incorrectly causing some pains when they would get in the way a really good and fun game but it could use some optimizing / more settings

Fun game and would love a bigger game with more collectabels and similar, but some achivments do not trigger, and I walked through 2 times trying to see if it was a glitch. Lovely game, but hope that can be fixed
