Gem Collector

In Gem Collector you are tasked with solving puzzles to collect all the gems in the level and reach the exit. I’m not sure how to classify this game because some of the items respond to gravity like in a 2D platformer, but some of them remain stationary like a top down dungeon explorer. The assets all look like they belong in different games and do not have much in common. The gameplay is not bad but there are several strange things that I had to figure out like falling gems kill you, but you’re suppose to collect them which is a strange dynamic. The game feels like the creators made a level editor they wanted other players to use to they made a series of demo levels and expect the players to make a bulk of the levels for the game. The level editor also takes some time to get use too because the interface controls are not user friendly. Overall, I’d say that a lot of work needs to go into this game. It would be nice to have a tutorial that clearly outlines the mechanics and if the UI for the level editor becomes more user friendly. I would also suggest some changes to the assets, so they feel like they belong in the game.

An interesting puzzle game. Gathering up the gems is no easy task so this game while simple can be quite enjoyable. Easy system requirements are its biggest strength

in the 3rd episode its gonna be hard.
