Ghost Parade

Suri is an average schoolgirl that one day sleeps not-so-averagely in class, thus missing the bus back home; now to get there in time, the only way is the 'shortcut' through the nearby forest. After meeting some of the residents -friendlies and not- she gets to know that a greater menace may be lurking deeper inside... Ghost Parade is a light metroidvania with emphasis on platforming which, even though controls are far from perfect (and unfortunately not customizable), rarely becomes frustrating thanks to the abundance of save points; you can craft potions (you can also buy or receive them from random drops); and there's combat, from classic skirmishes with mobs all around the levels to real boss battles that are mostly quite easy: I'd say the more challenging are maybe the first (when you're still not too familiar with the game) and last one (but at this point you can compensate with lots of potions ;)). Talking about combat, you can unlock special attacks by recruiting spirits and 'equipping' them (up to 3 at a time) and some combos will also give you access to a special combined strike or 'ultimate attack'. Nice Music and Ambient, Nice Arts, and have challenging and variative level designs. Enjoyed every challenge that's been served with all different uses of abilities and skills. Very precise controls too. Also Enjoyed all the cute and humoric ghosts. Only had one thing that's bothering me, it's about the vines that i thought was a platform, turns out it's just a background. So kinda fall a lot on those area. But then again it's all part of the exploring i guess. Overall, this is a nice and challenging yet relaxing platforming game :) Must try!

8/10 Lazy review: Mushishi meets Sailor Moon, as a platformer. Beautiful game. Gameplay instantly pulled me in. Only negative? The Boar Spirit stage is **insane** …essentially unbeatable without swapping ghosts out for an invincibility ghost… which I didn’t know how to do. Mostly that, and wall jump/cling mechanic was touch and go. Otherwise would be a 10/10. Stunning, fun game… that becomes very difficult in the late game.

Beautiful artwork, incredible world building and lore, the game and dev managed to create such a vast world with unique characters, based on Indonesian supernatural entities. I'm perrsonally amazed with the balancing among the various spirits we meet along the way. Made with love for gaming and Indonesian culture, traditional tales and folklores, this is Indonesian game dev at its finest. If you like platforming, metrroidvania games with wonderful characters, this is the game for you.

Finally the game ends. I like the art style, stories, and challenge in this game. I'm pretty sure this is a mechanical rpg game, so many obstacle that we must pass them. I like them so much, it has many experience in this game. So far so good
