Gimmick! 2

I was interested in the original gimmick, and after seeing the cheap price tag from a sale, decided to try the sequel. I can't say I like this game, despite finding it fun at the start. I wish I could give this game a meh review. My main gripes: - The art style and art direction is bland and uninspired. It looks like an old flash game on the nickelodeon website, and not in a good way. The levels themselves are affected by this too, there's no creativity in any of the locales I ended up playing up to. - The level design starts off decent, and slowly becomes more stale as the game goes on. As the difficulty spikes, the ideas for how to use the unique physics-oriented platforming should be a lot more apparent. Enemies can spawn in out of nowhere, which in some areas can be fun, but when the same idea is done again and again it starts to become tedium in place of a proper challenge. - The music was the biggest disappointment by far. I love David Wise's work, but I find this soundtrack to be incredibly generic and uninspired. I will give this game one thing - it has increased my interest in the original game. Looks like a game for a 6yo, but is exceptionally hard. She watches me play and die over and over and over and over. Not an easy game by any metric but very fun.

its such a neat puzzle/platformer and it goes above and beyond with the two buttons controls making some really hard and precise rooms going for 100% is so challenging and fun. i recommend :)

The green cousin of Kirby is not as fun and forces you to do tedious puzzles all the time.
