It might not cost much, but it's extremely bare bones. Really just numbers and lines on a map. Not even any 3D models to look at, the ships are just arrows. And I can't tell if the character portraits are AI or just ugly. Maybe it's worth the asking price, but it's not worth your time.

Just numbers and lines on a map. A little boring. Not for me.

No updates since 6+ months! good start but very strong ending after just a few weeks...

Reasonably simple game, whereby the player has to transport goods between one port and another. Some complexity exists where a port can output a product only if it is importing the raw ingredients, which might mean a chain of routes in order to achieve it. Pity some simple usability features were not able to be included in this release. I found the constant reminder to pay environmental tax as a pop-up irritating almost as much as the other pop-up asking whether I wanted to purchase an over-priced ship. Other things like putting the Port in alphabetical order on the Route list is something that should have been simple to do.

A lot of work has gone into this game and, unlike so many games, this one has a good attempt at a tutorial. The reason for the thumbs down is that all the panels and pop-up menus are reminiscent of 1980s nested menus and old-style index databases. The graphical user interface is pretty and well designed with lots of info BUT the navigation process get things done are not intuitive. Just setting up a route is a logistical headache. I tried multiple times to get into this game but finally gave up.. While not a deal breaker, the map graphics are cheesy with ships represented by dotted lines rather than decent animated sprites for example. Unlike other games, this one has very little external online help from players. To leave feedback or even report a buy you have to sign up to its dedicated forum. That wouldn't be so bad BUT it requires you to have a Google account in order to sign in/up. I cancelled my Google and Facebook accounts because of serious concerns with privacy, profiling, info manipulation, etc.
