"Mmm egg in me" - Jake the Dog

Playing through the demo during Steam Next Fest, I was charmed, but not immediately sold, After spending more time with the final version and in later Worlds, I'm both charmed and sold! Visuals and sound are lovely, and the levels start to challenge you more over time. What starts off as "get the egg in the nest" progresses into "how can I alley-oop this egg off of an enemy to myself so I can jump high enough to get to where I need to go?" and other fun wrinkles. Go! Go! Mister Chikums is pure, elegant fun - and at ten bucks, a great deal too.

The best version of this type of game i've played. Inspired by all the 2d Mario and Kirby games in its level and enemy design. 10/10

Great level design, music, art, and is overloaded with charm. My biggest issue was when u lose all your lives you lose ALL your points, which made me give up tryin to get a high score and just complete levels. One of the few retro games that feels like an actual retro game. Obviously works great on Steam Deck

Gameplay loop is addicting, music is catchy, and I got that arcade-y rage that comes from losing your last life while you have a million points, trying to keep your score till the very end. I did have a reoccurring issue with V-Sync that I wasn't sure how to fix, but overall the game is awesome.

Loved the music a lot and enjoyed the gameplay more than I thought I would, but I got stuck at World 4-9. No idea how to traverse with the water physics. Wish there was online co-op too, but I know that's complicated to implement.
