About Go! Go! PogoGirl
Jump on your pogo stick and bounce, bounce, bounce!
Go! Go! PogoGirl is a dynamic, cute and wholesome platformer about a girl and her pogo stick. Bounce your way through the world, collect gems and then bounce some more!
Having grown up with 90's platformers like Sonic the Hedgehog, Castle of Illusion, Rocket Knight Adventures and others, it was only natural that I'd create a love-letter to the games that defined my childhood. And that loveletter is Go! Go! PogoGirl!
I've tried to capture what made these games so special, from the colorful graphics, to the fluid gameplay, up to small details like idle animations. I also added a sound test and actual push-button cheats to complete the experience. Now we just need a physical magazine to tell players what they are...
The game was developed solo by me, with Peter "Reflekshun" Mullins providing the amazing soundtrack and Robert Keder whipping up some amazing key artwork. The game was coded in Haxe and is powered by the HaxeFlixel framework. As it is a labor of love done alongside several real life jobs, it took longer to finish than it should have. But now it's done!

A.R: Review on GoGo Pogo Girl. It was a really good game for what it is but sadly, i have to say it was not one of my most enjoyed games. The achivement colleting was very fun and the game play was good but the red gems were so annoying to get. Somethimes i think to my self who in there right mind would ever think to even look there just, them being inside of a wall. The season changing was cool and the ice as to not bore you with the background, but that ending was just alright but i think they were trying to make it more simple as good way to end thing's with getting the cool pogo. But with those cheeky red gems i will give it a soild 5.9/10 just was not really my thing i think1 found this helpful
I cannot support this developer, because he obviously got people to write fake positive reviews for this game (seriously, go read them all and tell me if something does't seem off). If you can ignore the fake reviews, then this dev's games are decent value proposition considering how many levels you get per game (125, 100, 60 and 25 levels respectively). Except for perhaps this one, which I consider the weakest of the 4, because I find the movement & gem-collecting tedious and unrewarding. I might still re-purchase these games in the future, however, because I liked their gameplay polish & amount of content.
That was an interesting and easygoing experience, with a lot of these hours being idle to get the 10000 jump achievement, that seems to be done counting a single stage,
but those two enemies stacked on each other underwater in the master level 3 were just broken since they don't do anything if you bounce on them without a shield but they automatically destroy the shield if you have it even if you jump on them in the right way
Some games will remind you of the 16 bit era platformers you played as a kid or they will pay homage to those games. Go! Go! PogoGirl actually feels like it was litterally ported out of a SNES catridge, and a good one. The short stages make it easy to launch the game on the Steam Deck, when you have a few minutes, for a quick fix of old school platforming.
A short, well balanced platformer. Finished it in about an hour and half (not including master levels). It never got frustrating which is really good for a platformer.
This is a fun 2-D platformer with a twist... or I should probably say--a bounce. Its very well made, and has a lot of replayability in returning to levels to earn all 3 medals for each level (1 for collecting 100 common coins, 1 for collecting 3 uncommon, or hidden, gems, and 1 for not dying). The difficulty curve was fair, the achievements were fun to earn, but that last Masters level, OMG... I did not earn a single medal, common coins and hidden gems remain elusive! I give up! But--I look forward to future releases from the developer. Recommended.
