excellent game so far. i only played most of the way through the first floor but it reminds me a lot of liquid war and maybe to some degree the last guy on ps3 but i didn't play that one as much. you have a cursor and a bunch of crazy red guys that path well enough to their destinations. you encounter other characters that aren't red but you can make them red if you sneak up on them before they reduce the amount of red men you have using their unique skill sets and equipment. there are some harrowing moments where i think a guy is scripted to blow himself up in an evac zone with unarmed scientists huddling together hoping to avoid harm and get out of there alive but the guy blowing himself up says something like "we die together!" which was pretty bleak. characters that lose a majority of their allies in combat will attempt to flee or at least retreat for better advantage. you can play it lots of different ways, the playable area is big enough and enemies will occasionally path from across the level towards you. if you had to break it down its basically a puzzle arcade game. the addition of a level editor with workshop support would really be something else, there are a lot of ele…

Took me 2 sittings and 4 hours to beat this game. the later levels do have a nice ramping in difficulty. It was a little annoying having to redo a whole level over because I cant beat a level without so many zombies at the start. and the visual effects started to drain me turning the last 30 mins. but overall, for a free game, its pretty good

TL:DR: Really cool game, you control a horde of zombies taking over a scientific facility. EPILEPSY WARNING PLEASE GET AWAY FROM THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE EPILEPSY IT WILL KILL YOU ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pros: - Controlling the horde has no right to be this satisfying. I cant think of a single time the zombies did something I didn't think they would. The developer clearly put a lot of effort and care into how the zombies act. They group up like a movie scene, they won't run two inches away from a person just because you didn't click that person specifically, they'll still eat them. They go around obstacles the way you'd expect, and have surprisingly good pathfinding. The controls aren't "go specifically in this direction" but rather "go to this position", and the zombies choose how to get there in a way that makes sense. - This game feels good. The Zombies will growl when you give them a new place to go, aka immediate feedback to the thing you do most often. This game's "weapons" are easily swapped between using the number keys 1-5, and you can tell pretty quickly which one is s…

My initial review for this game is very very positive. For a free steam game it delivers and delivers hard. The music is integrated quite well and the lighting effects give an added sense of immersion while you are piling your way through the clustered lab halls on your way to infect everyone. The strategy aspect is basic but thought out enough that I never felt like I was missing out on something. The zombie AI is a bit touchy and can ruin some strategy. Depending on where you're sending them, a group can decide to split off and will die to an opposing force on an alternate path. This is never your intention and besides doing more precise pathing, you can't really do anything about this. The levels themselves are designed very well. There are a lot of paths to take and options at your disposal. Enemies with heavy gear can be pretty destructive which always keeps you on your toes. Sometimes it feels like they can be a little too strong, but that's likely just me and my poor strategy building skills. Definitely try this one out. If the lights are too intense then you can always turn them off at any time.
