Game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible. I would say that this game is ultrakill for kids but i think it's as hectic as that game. It really needs a level randomizer though. Edit : I'm one of the only 2 people on this planet that currently playing this game, but the truth is i've purchased this game years ago. The only reason it's been sitting in my backlog was i don't have a (good) controller. Now i have a good one, therefore i'm picking this up again. I was there since the beginning. This game was super overshadowed by Palworld. It's really unfortunate because you can tell that the creator of this video game REALLY love the medium. From the gameplay to the animation, you can tell that they're good at what they do. But because of their circumstances (the Palworld incident), they moved on after few updates. I really don't need to recap how the gameplay works, because you can see it on the trailer and gameplay showcase videos. That's all there is to it. It's properly shown and telegraphed. The only gripe that i have is the same as i said in the first paragraph of this review before i added more : variety. It's technically a roguelike. You dead, you start from the beginning. But it lacks ra…

i wanted to like this game, the premise is great, and gameplay is fun. but theres a really bad issue with lag that seems to be related to a memory leak. developers have stated they will not work on the game anymore and so this issue will remain. i couldn't play for more than 30 minutes to an hour tops before the lag was so bad that it just had to restart.

Have played prior, playing on a Handheld PC has reaffirmed this game is the balls. And good balls too. Big ones. This game is the biggest hairiest balls ever. In a good way of course. It's the balls. The go mecha balls, if you will.

Go Mecha Ball takes the familiar foundation of the roguelite twin-stick shooter and injects it with a level of speed and creativity that makes it feel refreshingly distinct. At its core is a clever mechanic that allows players to instantly transform between a combat-ready mech and a high-speed rolling ball. This transformation is much more than a visual gimmick, as it fundamentally changes how every battle is approached. Instead of simply dodging enemy attacks on foot, players can build momentum, launch themselves across arenas, ricochet off environmental objects, and crash directly into opponents before seamlessly switching back to unleash an arsenal of devastating weapons. The result is a game that rewards constant movement and aggressive play rather than cautious positioning. Combat remains the driving force throughout the adventure, delivering frantic encounters packed with enemy robots, explosive effects, and satisfying firepower. Every run offers access to an extensive collection of weapons and combat abilities that dramatically influence how battles unfold. Machine guns, explosive launchers, energy-based weapons, drones, and powerful special attacks can all be combined with…

Flashy and mindless. All style, no substance. Missing a decent meta-progression system, it seems to be unlocks only.

Feels like a game where about 90% of the development time was put into refining the primary gameplay loop. And to be fair it IS a very very fun and polished primary loop, it's just that I feel myself getting burnt out on the game almost immediately. Not due to a lack of content or anything, I still have a lot to unlock and haven't beaten the game yet, just that there isn't much I feel excited about or interested in. If it's on sale and you've got half an hour or so to kill it's probably worth taking it for a spin, is my recommendation.
