Very Cool Concept for VR

"Goalienator" is a godawful VR tech demo where you pretend to be an ice hockey goalkeeper... yep, that's all there is to it. Amazing what people will burn $100 to publish through Steam Direct, isn't it? What do you do in the game? Very, very little. VR goalkeeping, the end. Ok, so there's more than one game mode, but they're all bad. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about you…

This is good but i don't have body??? But still a very goood game

Игра 'Goalienator' - это затягивающий и хаотичный аркадный шутер, который заставит ваши пальцы плясать по экрану в безумном ритме. Цель проста: отбивать несметные полчища пришельцев, рвущихся к вашим воротам. Однако, простота тут обманчива. С каждой волной враги становятся сильнее, а их количество растет в геометрической прогрессии. Графика выполнена в ярком, мультяшном стиле, что делает игру визуально привлекательной и не дает ей скатиться в излишнюю мрачность, несмотря на непрекращающийся экшен. Управление интуитивно понятное, буквально пара касаний для перемещения и стрельбы, но для достижения высокого результата потребуется серьезная сноровка и умение предугадывать траекторию врагов. Отдельно стоит отметить разнообразие апгрейдов и оружия, которые можно получать в процессе игры. Это добавляет стратегический элемент и позволяет экспериментировать с различными стилями прохождения. Единственный небольшой минус – иногда темп игры кажется чересчур безумным, и сложно уследить за всем происходящим на экране. Но в целом, 'Goalienator' – это отличный вариант для короткой, бодрой игровой сессии, когда хочется просто выпустить пар и немного пострелять по глуповатым, но назойливым пришел…

Really fun game, used to play it on my oculus quest when it first came out. Not much to do though however once you have done all the drills. I came from pick up league hockey when they had a partnership with this game, but really fun game to play too.

Pretty good game. Would be nice if they added a body+pads
