About Going Under
Dive into procedurally-generated dungeons beneath failed tech startups, wielding office supplies as weapons to battle cursed employees and repossess assets for your exploitative employer. This satirical dungeon crawler stands out with its roguelike progression, breakable weapons that force tactical flexibility, and sharp corporate commentary wrapped around a colorful cast of quirky co-workers and romance options.
The Future is Wack
Failed businesses no longer just cease to exist--they sink beneath the earth, and their employees are cursed to wander the halls for eternity as monsters. It’s your duty to put these monsters out of their misery and repossess their assets--so that your boss can afford a new car, or something.
Not All Heroes Get Paychecks
Battle through the remains of failed startups themed off of gig workers, dating sites, and cryptocurrency. Uncover the true motives of your employer, a carbonated drink startup known as Fizzle, and their parent company, a subscription box manufacturer with an army of helpful shipping drones. Make friends with your co-workers! Hire a freelance goblin! Date a slime! Invest in crypto! Set a rideshare on fire!
Fight Flexibly
In the dungeons of Going Under, almost everything can be used as a weapon, from laptops to brooms to body pillows. Proper weapons can be found as well, but even they can break at a moment’s notice if you aren’t careful. Playing cautiously and picking the right weapon for the situation are musts if you intend on surviving your internship.
Horrible Bosses
And you thought your boss was a monster. At the bottom of the dungeons lurk the founders of the cursed startups, getting rich off of investments while their employees fight amongst themselves. Defeat them and return to the surface with their enchanted relics to empower the company you work for.
Get Paid in Experience
As you explore, you’ll encounter powerful Skills that change the way you play. Learn them at the Cafe and they’ll show up in future runs. Use a Skill often enough, and you’ll get it “endorsed” and available to start your expeditions with. Combine multiple Skills for crazy synergies, and you’ll be cleaning house in no time.
A World of Characters
Complete Tasks for your co-workers to gain Clout with them and unlock their unique bonuses. Learn more about Neo-Cascadia, the origins of Fizzle, and how the drone shipping empire known as Cubicle came to dominate the city. Can you save your company and yourself from going under for good?

Really good if you like dynamic combat and hate capitalism.
The art is beautiful, taking the corporate art styles into a game was genius. Using workplace objects as weapons fulfills a fantasy I and many others have had. It has its moments, but its humor is filled with dated memes and references. It's painfully unfunny and the characters lack depth. Half of the content is repeated (The game is copy and pasted twice). Balance is garbage. Entire rooms explode at once, and enemies attack from all directions int he late game. Maps are often covered in darkness or spring a traps as soon as the player walks into rooms. It's not hard, but it is unfair. Patterns are readable and reactable in a vacuum, but good luck seeing them behind walls or behind the camera. There is no reward for tolerating this game. The final boss is awful and the ending is not worth the effort. Better to watch than to play.
A pretty fun dungeon crawler, even if nothing hugely innovative. The story and setting are very clever. I got this for a dollar or so in a previous AggroCrab sale; idk if I would recommend this at full price, but on sale it is definitely worth it. Also Kara is very relatable.
I have a good time with this one. It's short, plenty of stuff to do and improve, and it gives you the IRL experience of working for a start-up. You will have to do something you did not want the to do. The only question is, will real life work give you a perk that will have you beat up the competition in order to get a chance to deal extra damage with a folding chair? I think not. Highly recommend this as an off the job training program simulator.
An absolutely fantastic roguelite that has great writing and very clever level design. I also really appreciate the ability to edit the difficulty so people with less time can enjoy the game. There are some large difficulty spikes, particularly one dungeon in the second half of the game in which the RNG nature of the game can get fairly frustrating, but overall this is a fantastic game with a wonderful soundtrack and I cannot recommend it enough. I played the game on CachyOS and had no issues with compatibility.
Gameplay-wise it isn't revolutionary, it kinda reminds me of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with the lock-on combat and weapon durability, so it can feel a bit clunky sometimes but overall I found it satisfying. The art direction and writing is incredibly charming though and I doubt it'll lose it's relevancy (for millennials anyway) anytime soon. I wanted to finish it just to to give Jaquaylyn a W. It's about 15 hours playing casually and trying to get all the mentorships.
