You have rescued beauties out of the paws of terrible dragons, fought mighty beasts, and even faced small but cunning monsters. But behind these exploits lies one big truth: gold. Yes, gold! It gleams brightly in the sun, and every coin sound delights your ear. Who else would think of a carefree old age if not you? Which banner or medal would help you rest easy in the decline of your years? Your old legends? Or that humble fee the kingdom ordered to pay you for your hazardous adventures? Alas, neither can provide you with a peaceful old age.Meanwhile, your knighthood privileges are beginning to crack like the armour that has served you for more than a decade. Your purpose is clear: it's time to hit the road, to take enough gold with you to end your days in luxury and comfort. This year will be a year of good fortune - you are about to set out on an exciting journey, where the sword will be drawn only for defence, and the search for wealth will become your primary mission in life.

Retirement. That's something we all want to enjoy in peace, right? But one must earn it first. Earn it hard. And here we are. Welcome to GOLD FOR RETIREMENT! You are a Knight. Your days as a Young Knight are over and you have to think about your Retirement. Dreaming of a Good Time to come, your Knight goes into one last Adventure! To get much Gold! And believe me, this is not a walk in the Park. Not even close! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3554590214 GOLD FOR RETIREMENT is a 2D Precision Platformer in Retro Look. 30 Stages in 3 Worlds are waiting for you. Get the Coins and enter the Exit Portal. Sounds simple, eh? Believe me, you wish so. Easy to learn and hard to Master your Knight has to defeat many Enemies and avoiding Traps. Yes it is the typical slashing and Jumping stuff, but our Knight has a Special Helicopter Helmet. No i´m not kidding. XD This Helmet will make you Knight fly … for a short Time, it is Fuel based. Yes, really! But all over the Levels you will find Fuel and if you get it, after a short Time it Returns in case of you failing in you last Action. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3554590727 The Good News i…

30-stage precision platformer. difficulty spike is huge for last 2-3 levels so careful. requires some tweak. pickups should reset after death. fuel recharge should faster. unskippable logo and cutscene, etc etc.. not a perfect game but for given price it's okay. core gameplay is not bad anyway. aaaand... I felt like this game is made with love. felt like ol'good flash games. I appreciate that.

An aging knight embarks on a 30-stage quest to collect coins for retirement, battling enemies and traps with his sword and helicopter helmet while enduring tricky fuel limits and punishing precision. The premise of the game is straightforward. It follows the tale of an aging knight who, after years of good deeds, finds himself underappreciated and underpaid. Facing the reality of retirement without enough savings, he decides to embark on one final quest. His destination is a mysterious cave rumored to be filled with treasure, and his goal is simple: gather enough coins to secure a comfortable future. The adventure is structured across 30 stages, each of which must be completed in sequence. The main objective in every stage is to collect all the coins scattered around and reach the exit portal. Of course, the task is not as easy as it sounds, as each level is filled with obstacles, enemies, and dangerous traps. Stages may only span one or two screens, but the knight’s small size in comparison to the environment gives the impression of exploring vast areas. Fortunately, the controls allow for smooth maneuvering, making it easier to spot dangers and plan ahead. While enemies can b…
Warning: Asset Flip! This is a Unity asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" ripped off a bunch of other people's assets and put his own name on them, trying to cash in and get famous from someone else's work. This is creatively, morally and intellectually bankrupt.
The developer is trying to get YOUR money for someone else's game assets. So what is this? "Gold for Retirement" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. I had to look a little deeper into this 2D retro pixelcrap, because at face value it's identical to many Russian asset flips that plague Steam, it's a low effort pixelcrap "minimum viable product", rushed quickly into shovelware bundles, undeclared AI slop marketing images, it hits so many of the same notes as one of those Steam "fake games" that nobody could be blamed for assuming it is one. However, unlike Russian fake games, this one has an intro screen and the developers list their names in the credits, and they also dumped this garbage onto Itch, which is somewhere the…
