Your Love Interests
Elias delos Santos the Party HostPronouns: he/him Ethnicity: Filipino AmericanOccupation: Wedding & Events CoordinatorYour high school bestie, a social media hound, and just about the only person you kept in touch with from high school all these years. He came out to you 9 years ago and has been the singular queer person you personally know (or at least, that's what you thought). You're not sure if you've ever met anyone as simultaneously chill and stressed out as Elias is, but hopefully he can relax this weekend.Angel Devin the Withdrawn MetalheadPronouns: xe/xem/xir, he/himEthnicity: African AmericanOccupation: Farming Co-Op OrganizerVoted "Most Likely To Be Possessed By Demons" by the class, Angel used to be the weird outcast whose metal music you could hear from xir earbuds while passing by. Xe has a tendency to wander away from large crowds, but you attribute that to xem being more shy than misanthropic. Honestly, what concerns you more is the fact that no one seems bothered by Angel going off by xir lonesome.Liam Goodwin aka LuciferSatan69420Pronouns: he/himEthnicity: Caucasian AmericanOccupation: Social Media InfluencerA former Christian cheerleader who preached and practiced "Modest is Hottest." In the last two years however he’s made a full 180° to “All Skin, All Sin.” He takes immense pride in the video series that turned him into a star, “ASMR I’m Your Mean Boyfriend.” Will you finally have the chance to get some revenge on Liam this weekend? What Steam players say

FOR CONTEXT: I didn't get through very much of this game, I am also bisexual and genderfluid (they/them), I also have a lot of queer and neurodiverse friends, though I am NOT personally neurodivergent, I fear my dislike may make me slightly biased I did not enjoy the 30ish minutes I played this. It's a very fun concept, I just find the MC insufferable and the love interests kind of insufferable too. ELIAS: My problems with Elias are mostly problems due to the MC's ignorance and blatant bigotry. She's supposed to have been friends with Elias for a while since they text semi-often. The MC seems to be thinking incredibly transphobic thoughts despite being friends with a trans dude and supposedly being an ally. I also kind of hate that the MC is pretty much a vessel for the player to watch the events unfold while also being framed as an interactive visual novel. So really, I have more issue with the MC than Elias. Side note, I believe Elias made a comment about gay-panic in the very beginning of the game, which I found odd since the MC is a cis-het woman and these love interests are all trans men. ANGEL: I didn't get super far with this game, obviously. I've found that apparently An…15 found this helpful
Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Christ if you are over the age of 30 do not even think about attempting this game. It was horrendously painful; so poorly written. It felt like someone, who has only interacted with the queer community through memes posted on an unironic "r/arethegaysokay" subreddit, decided to make a game that will at some point be made into a video essay on "performative allyship and how it harms the community".9 found this helpful
you can tell that the routes are written by different people because they handle irene's gender and sexualities in different ways. it's not bad tho.1 found this helpful
