About Grand Pigeon's Duty
Lead Pigeon John and his flock of quirky rebels through a bizarre near-future where humans run on petrol and birds are starving, using unconventional mechanics and dark humor to save bakeries and restore hope. Experience a strange, story-driven adventure packed with multiple endings, trading cards, and achievements that celebrates the absurd struggle of urban pigeons against a fuel-powered world.

In the near future people decided to abandon human organs and replace them with innovative petrol implants that allow to prolong life. Almost all food businesses were ruined or converted into refueling.
Due to lack of organic food pets were on the verge of extinction. Worst of all had birds that were unable to adapt to new conditions of life without human food.
Pigeons organized resistance, which aims to attract people's attention to the problem of hunger and restore bakery companies for their bait.
Pigeon John decides to help urban birds with his unusual disease of the digestive system.

recently picked this up after owning it since 2016. my feelings for it are positive so i can't bring myself to give it a negative review, but it's sort of hard to recommend without a massive asterisk the story captured me significantly more than i expected. it has drama, it has action, it has cumbentbert snapersnatch. but MAN the gameplay is absolute ass. you are moving, the people are moving, you have to be precise, i wonder wtf the devs were thinking when they added freaking WIND to this equation. but i'm also so charmed by the literal bad B movie of a plotline that i 100%ed it, and so, i will say: if you can accept literal pigeonshit gameplay, are a masocist, or really like bashing your head against the wall, perhaps it'll be worth it to laugh at pigeon jokes. if you're normal, sane, and have a better use of 4 hours, i'd probably find something else to do1 found this helpful
I hate pigeons that poop on people's heads, except the pigeon I'm playing as.
https://youtu.be/_ephi_NR2b8 One core joke stretched much too far without the gameplay to backup the gaps.
Honestly, it surprised me. This game I got on sale a while back started playing it thought it was too difficult (Entirely skill issue there tbh). Its fun its got several different story options, I will say the translation work for someone that isn't a naive speaker is really impressive. The 6th level early on is difficult even being linked to the "Hawkeye" achievement. It was a fun shorter experience. Though the learning curb was steep for me. (I am not very good at video games) it was applicable so it felt like I was learning something important for the game. My main criticism would be if you're replaying certain scenes, like the lab one the repetitive unskippable dialogue feels like a chore. The fight section was also a bit hard to understand how it worked but that didn't take me long. Overall I highly recommend this game is pretty good.
The game is a straight-up B-movie quality. Pigeon-sploitation I'd say 3/5 - there are some funny gags and the gameplay has a few mini-games
