About GRIDD: Retroenhanced

GRIDD: Retroenhanced is an intense arcade-style cyberpunk hacking shoot 'em up with an incredible soundtrack, procedurally generated elements, and electric visuals.
Pilot your craft to hack through an evolving set of punishing enemies, deadly lasers, and other fiendish obstacles as you attempt to take down an unrelenting security mainframe to take out the system's AI, and cement your place on the leaderboard!
Inspired by cyberpunk dystopian films, early home computing, and a pulsing synthwave soundtrack from Dream Fiend, Gridd takes a classic bygone era and evolves it into a modern arcade experience.

I absolutely love the game on the Switch with gyro control. Will GRIDD use the Steam Deck gyro control? Also when docked, I would like to use the gyro control on the 8bit.do Bluetooth & 2.4 GHz Ultimate Controller (long name; I didn't do it). This game would really show off the benefits of the Steam Deck. An option for ultrawide monitors and 4k would be swell too. Great game. It should get more attention!2 found this helpful

GRIDD: Retroenhanced, developed by Antab Studio and published by Kongregate, is a fast-paced neon-drenched shooter that feels like stepping into a digital fever dream. It’s a love letter to the arcade classics of the 1980s but filtered through a modern cyberpunk aesthetic that turns every moment into a spectacle of light and sound. From its first seconds, GRIDD establishes itself not as a traditional space shooter but as an intense, visually explosive experience that tests reflexes, timing, and endurance. The premise is simple: you’re a hacker diving deep into a hostile mainframe, battling layers of security AI and navigating through ever-shifting digital landscapes. It’s less about story and more about sensation—a pure rush of motion and rhythm wrapped in the glow of electric blue and neon pink. The game’s structure follows the lineage of classic rail shooters. Your ship moves along a fixed path through a constantly shifting environment filled with barriers, lasers, and enemies. Unlike traditional shooters, GRIDD gives you no control over speed or firing cadence; the ship’s weapons fire automatically, leaving you fully focused on survival and precision movement. The Good: It's a nice looking game with a pumping soundtrack. The Bad: A camera that makes the one in the 3d sonic games look good. It can be nigh on impossible to work out if you're actually going to collect that power up, or dodge that obstacle. It also has a very loose auto aim (there is no mouse support, though with the camera issues it would be nigh on impossible to accurately aim anyway) which tends to prioritise reflective enemies over enemies you can actually damage, and the game likes to mix both on screen at once.
