✦ AI summary

Players praise this roguelike deckbuilder for its unique cyberpunk aesthetic, interesting card mechanics with meaningful upgrade choices, and solid meta-progression system that offers varied playstyles. Common complaints include difficulty balance issues (punishingly hard early game, too easy once unlocked), limited enemy variety and end-game content, unclear UI readability for tracking damage calculations, and a desire for more randomness and events to reduce repetitiveness across runs.

Pretty good game for something in EA. Aesthetic is cool, UI is cool, the way it handles the map is cool, cards are interesting, enemies are cool (though not that many of them). Little to artificially hard at the start after the meta progression update because of ridiculously low starting health, but a little too easy once you get the unlocks and figure the game out. Looking forward to some more difficulty options, would also like some more randomness, events, enemies, something to break up the same-ness right now. Definitely fun though.

Yes it's a good game with a lot of thought put in. Things I like: - Upgrading and removing cards is a scarce resource in this game so you really have to make them count which is cool and meaningful. - I like the meta upgrading system, it offers you a lot of ways to switch up a run with some cool things that completely tweak the way certain mechanics work. Things I don't like: - The first boss feels like the coolest and hardest one mostly due to your deck just not being fleshed out by the time you fight him. I find that if I manage to beat him then the rest of the run is kind of a cake walk. I would like to see the others get buffed and maybe have more interesting mechanics. - Most of my runs never get passed security level 2 and that is without meta upgrades so I'd like to see something here. Maybe a risk vs reward system that encourages you to risk tougher enemies for better rewards but when I think about it, there really isn't much they could offer me that would make me want to risk harder enemies, more money just wouldn't cut it, maybe if cards could upgrade multiple times or had branching upgrade paths idk. Point is, Security system could be better. Things I'd like to see…

Very cool deckbuilder with a *lot* more strategy and planning needed for the between-combats parts than any other that I've seen. Risk-management and resource management are vital to success, and the trace/alarm system puts an imposing clock on everything (though the most recent early access patch sort of nerfed that clock, I'm expecting it to be fiddled with more as they go). Combat mechanics are pretty good too, and the in-combat visuals are great. There's ineteresting and unique mechanics which will be relevant every run, with all enemies getting 1-3 allies of varying threat/utility and the player having a special meter that can be utilized with several different strategies. One downside is that all that resource management makes runs much slower and longer than they are in most games. You can't just trace out the best choice from several routes on a map, you have to plan out every move and restrategize every few nodes.

Needs an undo button for actions that didn't reveal any secret info, but other than that is a pretty good unique take to the roguelike crawler genre.
