HAINYA WORLD

As much as I like the graphics and the relatively solid core gameplay loop, I really can't recommend the game as-is as of the 2.0 EA update. - Enemies will spawn anywhere and everywhere, including on top of artificial light sources where they're not supposed to spawn (this seems mostly related to initial spawn when you load a world). - Enemies will spawn on your head. - Enemies will attack you in the middle of a conversation where you can't fight back. - Enemy and ally AI is mostly broken. Enemies will keep trying to attack you and move to you via the shortest path rather than trying to path around obstacles. Allies usually just stand there and do nothing, and often struggle to keep up with you walking. Sometimes when they do trigger, they keep repeating the same attack endlessly at nothing. - The first boss's health bar disappeared while I was trying to find it (I apparently moved through its arena without it spawning). It then spawned on top of my head outside of it's arena while I was looking at the map. It's health bar never came back. - I've had several crashes to desktop, including within the first few minutes of the tutorial level. - Character saves are stored separate…

The game is fine if you pretend the game ends at the Demon Dragon

Runs like crap on Vega 8 (Resident 4 remake runs great)

I like these kind of games, can't wait for more content. The problem that I have with the current state of the game is that the skills and UI bar aren't very responsive, feels like constant lag when changing items/weapons or dodging, and the hitbox is bigger than the shown skills: getting hit even if i jump over them. The AI is bad as well, the final boss just teleported around, just letting me hit it, my summoned teammate attacks when feels like it, most of the times just being idle. There should be also some quantity bar selection on items for some NPCs on the story island, wasting too much time to swap items 1 by 1. because they even have charge animation, swapping is not even instant.

I waited more than a year for the new update to drop. It's been worth it, there's plenty of new stuff added. If you enjoy games like terraria/mapple story/minecraft Hainya feels like a mix of those.
