Immerse yourself in deep environmental interactions, puzzle solving, world exploration, and visceral combat.
Lean to aim around a broken wall and under a Barnacle to make an impossible shot. Rummage through shelves to find a healing syringe and some shotgun shells. Manipulate tools to hack alien interfaces. Toss a bottle through a window to distract an enemy. Rip a Headcrab off your face and throw it out the window.
COMMUNITY-BUILT ENVIRONMENTS
A set of Source 2 tools for building new levels is included with the game, enabling any player to build and contribute new environments for the community to enjoy through Half-Life: Alyx's Steam Workshop. Hammer, Valve’s level authoring tool, has been updated with all of the game's virtual reality gameplay tools and components.

I slept on this game for a while, because when I bought my Quest 3 and started trying out VR games, many of them had more of a mini-game or tech demo feel to them which was disappointing, so I wasn't keen on spending $90 AUD for the same. When I saw this go on sale for ~$20 AUD I thought I'll give it a go and I am now comfortable saying BOY WAS I WRONG. This is exactly what I always thought VR gaming was going to be before I tried. It's so immersive, the environments are so detailed and interactive, and you really feel like you're there. Knowing what this game is now, I would 100% buy it full price. I'm not very far into it but I'm loving it, and I'm sad thinking that it's going to end and I don't think there is another VR game on the market that is at this standard. If you have a VR headset and a half-decent PC, you need this. Don't sleep on it like I did.

this is a great addition to half life and VR in general
It doesn't matter if you don't have a Valve brand headset, there's some steps you can take to use this game on Oculus Quest and my god is it worth it!
