Handmancers

Actually got obsessed with it.

It's a good game and it got the foundation to be a truly great gane. I hope the devs keep improving the game.

Besides some balancing issues I overall really like the game. I enjoyed the deckbuilding and difficulty ramp up was very smooth across the corruption levels. Enemies don't feel very distinct for the most part but the fights are still very enjoyable. Some UI changes to make it all feel more intuitive would be nice as well. I do have one big gripe though. Main problem with the game for me right now is as followed. I completed the hardest difficulty first try with the curse paper deck but I could not for the life of me understand how to do it with others. Shortly explained you get two bad unplayable cards in your deck that you have to get rid of somehow in the beginning of every fight after the first two (those are so simple it's not really a problem). The paper deck gets two ways of very easily dealing with this from the start. The other decks don't and you have to find ways to get rid of these cards very fast or you die. This really makes it feel unfair to play any deck but paper decks. Hope they keep improving on the game. Generally speaking really like what they made so far and have high hopes for the game's future! :)

Probably the most unique Roguelike Deckbuilder ever launched since Slay the Spire jump started the genre. But how you ask? Most games in this genre look at the StS template of Attack cards, Block Cards, power energy and roll with it, perhaps just changing the setting. Handmancer throws that formula out of the window. Every battle is decided in games of rock paper scisors. Every turn you will play a set number of games of RPS, placing the cards in one of the slots. This means this games runs not on an energy/mana economy but an action one.Its up to you to decide the order of moves you will use. Win the game you deal the damage in the card against the enemy. Lose your receive the damage of the attack instead. In case of draw it's a parry. These mechanics mean everysingle card can both be an attack or a defend. It's quite interesting and strategical.

I wasn't expecting the level of depth that this game has. It has been super fun playing, and would highly recommend.

Played the demo, thought it was fun. When the full game came out I picked it up and was disappointed that it was pretty much just the demo. There really isn't a lot of content in the game.
