Slow-paced game by design — if you go in expecting that, it’s fine. Some of the scenes are surreal and a few genuinely catch you off guard in a good way. The ending is pretty cheesy though. One downside for me is that it pushes gender ideology pretty hard. Overall it’s a solid chill-out game. Easy to relax with, especially on the Steam Deck. I used Lossless Scaling and it ran even smoother. Recommended if you want something low-stress to unwind with.

I don't even know where to begin. But I think it's best to start with the bad. It's incredibly boring to "play." There's not even a proper game here. When I saw it, I didn't look at any reviews or gameplay, hoping it would be a quest or something like that. But in the end, there's nothing here except just wandering around the rooms a few times and reading. When you buy a GAME, you expect at least some gameplay, but there isn't any. We're even sometimes allowed to move the character, but why bother? Turning him somewhere or taking your hands off the controls doesn't change anything. It's truly very difficult to evaluate. There's no exploration, no interaction, nothing to do for 10+ hours. On the positive side, yes, it's an incredibly beautiful game with a simple story about a lonely and dreamy guy, which is captivating and interesting to watch, but alas, in between each action, absolutely nothing happens. And I can't recommend this game to anyone, except for people who have NEVER played games.

Great little claymation walking simulator that honestly would've been better as a 6-part Netflix mini series. There wasn't much 'game' to be had. Pros: - Adorable characters, great animation, amusing story, many laugh-out-loud moments Cons: - Repetative corridor travelling, fetch quests, occasionally tedious dialogue

Harold Halibut is a wonderfully weird and beautiful game. I highly recommend it, if your attention span isn't shot. And don't listen to negative reviews that belittle the really nice story, that they couldn't even complete themselves. I got chills and even cried at times. Sure there are rare moments where one would think "what was that for?", not in a way that'd make you think it was pointless, but it all ties nicely back up at the end. 10/10 highly recommend. Fix your attention span, the right way ;]

This game has so much to love! The voice acting, voice direction, music, the look of the puppets and set design are just out of this world! The mundanity of walking around the ship can be a bit much sometimes, but I really didn't mind overall as hearing what was going on with the characters and what they had to say to be super fun to follow throughout the games story. I don't even know if I could pick a favorite character as they all were so well defined and I really enjoyed seeing their little arcs happen Highly recommend even if you just go right through the game as there's so much to appreciate
