Heaven Snakes [Beta] is another disgusting scam game like "banana". Effectively a blockchain/NFT game, but abusing the Steam Marketplace instead of some other blockchain/wallet system... the end result is the same, this isn't a real game, it's just dumped on Steam to scam PC gamers through the Steam Marketplace. It has no value as a serious game, you just click stuff in the hopes an "NFT" marketplace item drops so the developer can get paid for the sale... and of course so the developer can sell ones that he's farmed up himself. Sure, eschewing the usual clicking mechanic for a "Play Snake in 3D!" mechanic doesn't change the underlying fact that 10 times more effort went into monetising this cancer with an in-game cash shop and Steam Marketplace "NFTs" than in actually making a game... which the developer still proudly touts as "Beta", more of an excuse for not putting any more effort into this. So while this looks "free", it's only superficial. The real purpose for this game is for the developer to farm and exploit Steam Inventory items that drop through the game. An interesting concept, Heaven Snakes takes the idea of snake or snafu and places it into a three dimensional space. With these additional dimensions, Heaven Snakes alludes to a game experience where the maneuvers of Snake can enter a third dimension of narrow misses, new entrapment, and dynamic playspace. Instead, Heaven Snakes feels like entering into Virtual Reality, free with 90's laser tag area coloration, inner ear distortion, and a general confusion as to what is happening at any time. With little to no direction, time, or clear understanding of one's growth, it can often feel more like this game is more "mood" than game, and you die. This experience ranges from frustrating to confusing, and despite my short time with it, my friends and I (the only 3 humans on the server) still somehow keep talking about this nauseating flight simulation experience. Worth a try if you don't have general motion sickness, or something better to do.
