Developed and published by RetroBug, the game takes the instantly recognizable Snake formula and builds a compact arcade package around it, focused on replayability, variation, and score chasing rather than narrative or progression-heavy systems. From the first moments, it is clear that Snake Deluxe is meant to be approachable and familiar, but not stagnant, offering small twists that keep the core loop engaging far longer than a single classic mode would. At its foundation, the game preserves everything that made Snake timeless. You guide a growing snake across a confined playfield, collecting items to increase length while avoiding collisions with walls or your own tail. Awesome game, super lightweight and quick to launch when I'm bored or listening to music, but unfortunately the snake is not at all responsive, even with my Razor keyboard. Please, if you can, adjust and optimize the responsiveness, because when I want to quickly change the direction, it's just not doing it; sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I genuinely hope this game's responsiveness will get better, but other than that, super nice game, and an absolute treat for nostalgia. EDIT: It gets extremely frustrating to control the snake because it doesn't behave like the way you want it to. Please fix the responsiveness! Also, the apple that the snake has to eat sometimes spawns inside of the snake, increasing the score. Please fix this bug as well! I'm hoping that you will fix these two issues, and thanks a lot in advance if you do!1 found this helpful
