About Hell Forge

Hell Forge is a retro roguelite survivor that focuses on following obsessions.

Thrill of Ultimate Gamble.

You don't just survive here—you gamble for power. Slaughter endless waves of monsters to mine their souls, then race across the map to the Hell Forge. Will you forge a Legendary weapon that clears the screen, or will you be buried by monster waves?
  • Risk & Reward: Success isn't guaranteed. Experience a Legendary tier forge or the depression of a misfortune.
  • Infinite Variance: With random Stat Options and Tier Rolls, no two weapons—and no two runs—are ever the same.

⚔️ Evolve or Die

Max out your weapons to trigger massive Evolutions. Transform a simple spear into a screen-clearing vortex of death. Every run is a unique roll of the dice.

🗽 Interactive Map Structures

Don't just run in circles. Explore the map to find Divine Statues. Pray to the Angel to receive crucial buffs:
  • Attack Speed: Turn your weapon into a machine gun.
  • Magnet: Pull every XP gem on the screen to you.
  • HP: Save your entire session when you are one hit away from death.

Its decent. The forge failures seem a bit too punishing. I think the failure rate needs to be rebalanced. 50% failure rate is too high. Imagine opening a chest in Megabonk and half the time you get nothing but still spend the currency. I think the odds for the different tiers of the Forge results is perfect, common, magic, rare, legendary etc. You might even do away with the failure rate, increase the cost and reduce the occurrence or something. Just a suggestion. Overall though I love the art style. Game feels well polished and plays smoothly.

Just skip this one, should be an "alpha" stage game at best. Really rough - the skills are not balanced, the gameplay is flaky and winning depends on pure luck. The more I play it the worse it gets. - balancing is garbage - there is no map or sense of direction - different characters doesn't do anything other than have visual skins - end game is just more monsters with more HP - your character scale depends on luck and how much upgrades you can get is a way inferior survivors like and I got many crashes when I was switching windows, There are much better games out there,

Update: it's actually better than I thought. I think it has a decent chance of becoming my favorite hyper casual game. I'm open to purchasing additional DLC if any (maps etc). Decent game especially for the price. Feels being back in the arcades as in the old days. Burned the last two hours even though I wanted to just check out the game before seriously start playing tomorrow. Magician is a bit OP and it's a lot harder when playing with Knight, but I think I'll get used to it. Highly recommended!

I started playing casually after watching the gameplay video, but I think I'm getting addicted! You can really feel how well-made the game is. The controls are simple, but the gameplay is thrilling and keeps me on the edge of my seat. I'm currently playing as a Knight, but I plan to try out other characters too. Let's all dive into Hell Forge!
