Hell Warders is a hybrid of tower defense and third-person action RPG. It tasks players with defending a Nexus against waves of demonic enemies using both deployable defenses and direct combat. The game blends strategic planning with real-time fighting, rewarding coordination and map awareness. At its core, gameplay revolves around preparing defenses before each wave, then personally engaging enemies as one of several heroes. Each hero has unique abilities and weapon styles—ranged, melee, or magic-based—which adds variety. Players summon defense units like archers, catapults, or knights to hold choke points. Success depends on understanding enemy patterns and balancing unit placement with active combat. The cooperative multiplayer mode is where Hell Warders shines. So I picked this up for me and my bro when it was on sale for like... idk, 85% possibly? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you score it for that, and have a friend or three to play with, grab it for them too. Four people for less than $4 can definitely get hours and hours of enjoyment from it. Solo or full price? I don't see the appeal there. Get it mega sale and to play with friends 7/10 Solo and not on sale 1/10

[/quote] [h2]Feels very low effort[/h2] Personally, I enjoy Tower Defense games since they provide so much variety and strategy, but Hell Warders is so bad with the UI, the need to literally hug each archer, mage, and spear man to upgrade them, and the combat itself feels dreadful. It's presently on sale for one dollar, but at full price, it's not worth anything close to that until they cure a lot of these faults and make the game more engaging and interesting, since you'll spend more time spamming units down than thinking about them. Most likely abandoned.
