Heltons Haunted Hotel

Heltons Haunted Hotel is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game template and re-releasing it on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio template he keeps re-releasing is just a basic retro pixel (couldn't he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down stealth/action game. Rubbish, absolute Rubbish The sprite quality is atrocious, they look like bobble heads The gameplay is also awful, its hand holding at its finest Scares are just jumpscares, nothing with any substance the plot is also bloody faulty, seriously your main protagonist is a PSYCHIC and she uses what GHOST HUNTERS USE like cameras, emf readers and whatever else to find ghosts when she doesn't NEED ANY OF THAT ♥♥♥♥ also the presentation when it comes to text reading is also rubbish, you have what I can estimate is a size 10 font with a stupid oversized box oh and loading saves don't work, ♥♥♥♥ this game, not worth $1.50 AUD, not even worth the .70 Sale Rubbish/10

Helton's Haunted Hotel is a very nice and simple 2D pixel game. I actually had a lot of fun playing through it and got excited a few times when I died. But that meant I knew what was coming next and could prepare myself to avoid it. After a few attempts, I finally managed to play it all the way through. I love the archives. All I can say about the other reviews is that I can only partially understand them. Sure, the game still has a few things that could be done better, but I love the fact that it's not a simple game where you're just led through. Most of the time you have to figure out where to go and learn from your mistakes! These are games I like, but I still have a few small comments: The hitboxes on some walls are a bit miserable because you get stuck, but there's nothing to get stuck on. Some text boxes can't be clicked away, they stay there for a while, even though I've already read through them and I can't see where I'm going through these boxes. In general, it's a nice indie game and I'm already looking forward to playing the other parts! Good game overall. You just need to pass through certain events to activate the save points. Trial and error. Not a complex game. Good fun for 1 hour.
