About Hideout: Face your fears
Immerse yourself in this third person stealth adventure, set in a world devastated by war against an artificial intelligence that brought down society as we knew it. Play as May, a survivor living in a bunker in the mountains that must go on a quest to find medicine for her sickly brother, Jack. In her way, she will meet the robots designed by the AI to hunt down humanity, an assembly of war machines who will not hesitate to kill her on sight. Her only way to survive will be to stay in the shadows and remain undetected, using her environment as cover.
May has a tool that allows her to interact with various devices along the town: opening doors, powering generators, finding hidden information and crafting various objects that will help her along the way by distracting her enemies, revealing them or and even incapacitating them.
In this slow-paced adventure game, the bleak setting and narrative create a tense and oppressive atmosphere that enhances the experience. May’s vulnerability only adds to the feeling of helplessness against the war machines: if she is found, it’s GAME OVER. Will you help May to save her brother and find the secret hidden within this town?

[h1] Hide from evil robots and don't get caught red handed. AI sucks, you can just run next to enemies without much care or caution and then get through hole or hide behind corner. Idea seems ok, start generators to open door but it's spoiled by bad AI which get stuck sometimes. With better execution game could be so much more robust. Level design is not bad. Visuals ok, nothing to complain much. Overall there're better stealth games out there. [/h1]7 found this helpful
"Hideout: Face your fears" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from ESAT Valencia in Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This was an attempt to make a promising third person stealth adventure with a post apocalyptic theme... but it was a buggy mess, and because it's a student project, it was never finished and the students walked away. They even knew they didn't finish the game but they published it anyway!! Of course the students had no intention of finishing the project... who in their r…1 found this helpful
So far it is great. Graphics, controls, trying to hide from robots, use of tools, story line is all good. Seems like a high quality and very interesting game to me so far.
Played this game and like the graphics and sense of exploration. I got stuck at the cabin, and didn't see any inventory or map. But do try this game. Interesting.
great game until i got caught and was respawned in a room with all doors closed and no way to move forward i almost had the medicine had fun until that point
It's something to do if you don't have money to spend on AAA games. The story isn't insane or anything but there's something there.
