The smartphone not only lights up the darkness as a flashlight, but also receives unsettling messages, and serves an important role by storing clues as photos and notes. The progress of exploration itself depends strongly on the information from the phone, and the structure in which you always act while being aware of the screen is distinctive. You can freely switch between first-person and third-person views. In first-person, the narrow field of vision emphasizes fear, while in third-person it becomes easier to grasp the overall structure of the school building and move around (and you can also observe the character from a slightly naughty viewpoint). I actually think the Gooner parts did this game a disservice. This was a gritty, tragic story that absolutely elevated the game, alongside the great puzzles that make full use of the high school setting. The jiggle physics and shower scene, etc., if anything, hold the game back. But despite that, it's a great game and a fantastic direction the dev has taken, given their backlog of games.

I was so excited to play this game and it did not disappoint. Spooky/horror games that are very puzzle intensive usually are not my type of game because the puzzles tend to be difficult and take me out of enjoying the game and the story. This game however did NOT do that. The puzzles were not super simple and did take some thought but were still enjoyable to the overall game. And I really liked the story the game had too. After completing the game I realized it had quickly become a new favorite of mine. Would definitely recommend.

This is like the fourth game i've played like this and I love it, i'll always play these types of games.

More charming than I expected. There's clearly an ecchi leaning to this game and yet it does put some effort into the horror. It's not a long game by any means but the Resident Evil-style exploration is done well enough. The hide-and-seek elements are more forgiving for sure, enemies don't move very quickly (for the most part) and you keep all your progress even if you die. Still, there's some slight surprises in the back half but nothing that changes the pace up too much. For what it is, I enjoyed it. Oh, and kudos to whoever wrote the flavor text for the loading screens. Creepiest part of the game.
