About Highway Junkie
Highway Junkie is a racing game about crazy driving on open highway.
Rules:
For 5 minutes drive as far as you can. Every meter gives you +1 point. End result multiplied by experience factor, that depends on difficulty level.
The damage is deducted from the total count. The race ends if you break the car or run out of time. Get as many points as possible!
There are 4 different types of physics\difficulty level:
1) Arcade
Do you remember the "racing" on tetris? That's it, but only with better graphics.
2) Semi-Arcade
Car is under control, however, you should keep your eyes on road.
3) Semi-Realistic
You should have some kind of experience, concentration and accuracy. But, in general, the steering system will not allow you to make a mistake.
4) Realistic
Only for experienced racers. It is recommended to use analog steering (mouse or steering wheel).

I really like this budget racer, and it is a great first title for the developer! Well worth the $1.99 price tag.. I have some suggestions to the developer that I believe will take this game from good to great and they are really pretty simple changes. I discuss them and show the gameplay on launch day in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRJIDIHYICk&feature=youtu.be The game is "FUN" which is the most important aspect especially on this little budget games. The four different modes are your difficulty of keeping control of your car, arcade is easiest, and realistic is hard but so much fun! Controls are pretty easy, WASD to move and steer, you can shift up and down if you like with Q for clutch, and CTRL and SHIFT for shifting up and down respectively. However shifting is NOT required as it will shift automatically for you, which is nice. Not a bad game at all, especially for this developers first title here on Steam! It's early access and is only likely to get better with a few simple updates and changes! I'd get in now before the price likely jumps up as this fun little game improves! ;-) My early score: 79% but this could be an easy 9 out of 10 budget gam…4 found this helpful
Really really like this game! Very fun to play and enjoy the different modes. Also the few custom features for the car is a nice touch! It is well worth the money and can't wait for the next few updates!! Well played dev*3 found this helpful

For the developers first game it's great. I was dissapointed in the little customization options. I am looking forward to see what this developer will come out with next
PROS: - The car customization - nice but weird - 3 car models - 4 different driving modes from arcade to realistic - Price is fitting - Alt+F4 works! CONS: - Graphics are below mediocre - Sound is bad - Only one race track - No pause button - Escape key is not working - Leaderboards don't work either! In conclusion, yeah, the game is kinda fun for 20 minutes, but it also forces you every time to play until time runs out, given the fact you can't pause. So not really recommended from me, sorry guys.
