I gotta say, this game is a blast to play. It’s an interesting hybrid of different dungeon-crawling approaches that works so well I was honestly disappointed after beating the final boss, simply wanting for more. It starts at a pace reminiscent of the classic King’s Field games before gradually becoming more accessible to modern audiences (that's the only hint I'm going to give). The combat is simple yet more involved, using different tactics for different rewards that help you stay alive at the end of the day. Every encounter feels dangerous because poor positioning can take away your ability to evade and recover, forcing you to rely on precise parries when you're cornered. You'll constantly plan ahead and it's really difficult to get tired of battle. If anything, I wish there more enemies to fight. Exploration is where Hollowdeep really shines. Long walks do a lot for the atmosphere, but the game consistently rewards curiosity with worthwhile discoveries. The platforming is especially good because it encourages players to question what surrounds them. Hollow deep is a very cheap enjoyable game, it throws you right into the action with no tutorial and lets you learn how to play through messages left on the floor. The game is mildly challenging at the start. Overall a very fun game to have in your library.

Great game especially for the price. This developer has lots of potential and I hope they continue to make games.
