Just started playing this over on my Youtube channel (link at end of review for anyone wanting to see a gameplay sample before buying). First thing to note: as of the posting of this review, this game is in early access. It isn't finished and things are likely to change as development continues. But, having played what is currently available, Honey Bunny looks promising enough. Took me somewhere just over 2 hours to get through what is currently implemented, though of course this play-time will get longer as more levels are added. The retro visuals are nice and the 3D platforming mechanics are smooth enough, for the most part. I'd say there's nothing particularly special about the gameplay, but if you do enjoy a decent 3D platformer, then I don't think you can go wrong with this one. The story is pretty basic at the moment, so I imagine it'll be fleshed out as time goes on. In short, you play as a casino bunny-girl who goes after a gang of pinstriped mobsters after they storm your place of work. You follow them to other locations in the game's settings, such as a magician's theatre and another, ancient Egypt-themed casino. So the setting does have some nice, colourful variati…13 found this helpful
Fun platformer with unique and dynamic bosses. Love the retro pixel art style too. Recommend!1 found this helpful
A charming 3D Platformer that requires a bit of patience. I like the designs, themes, and graphics, and the level design does really well with the theme of the level, but I had two major issues, the LONG levels, and the clunky controls / movement. The game is slow and deliberate in its gameplay, and that can be fine. But because the levels are very long, up to 40+ minutes per level if you want to collect the things to be collected, it can be very tedious. Additionally, Failure in platforming often just sets you back, but because of the slowness of the game, along with some clunky mechanics, failure can be tedious. But if you ignore the tedious collectables, and play with a bit of patience and deliberation, especially once you get comfortable and familiar with the mechanics and enemy & level design, you'll start enjoying the the game.
