The Wine is a pretty disappointing game, to be honest. I think the story concept is solid, but the delivery is terrible. The Visuals and environments are great, even the level design is good, but the actual gameplay in those spaces is terrible - it amounts to wandering around until you can find a combination, wandering around until you find a door, or running from a jump scare enemy. I think that's really what got me; there is no organic nature to the enemies, they just appear in the hallways suddenly and attack you while you clunky-controls your way away with stamina that lasts 0.03 seconds. Considering I was about 1/3rd of the way through the game, I didn't see that changing. Unfortunately, this makes The Wine more frustrating than fun and I don't think it's worth the time.1 found this helpful
HORROR TALES: The Wine is a first-person psychological horror adventure developed and published by Carlos Coronado that demonstrates how fear can be created without relying on traditional horror environments. The story is set in the aftermath of a catastrophe that has left much of the world in ruins. A deadly illness known as the Devil's Fever has decimated the population, leaving entire communities abandoned. Players arrive on the island searching for a rare bottle of wine believed to possess extraordinary significance. What initially appears to be a simple mission quickly evolves into something far more disturbing as hidden truths emerge and strange events begin to unfold. The narrative is intentionally mysterious, encouraging players to piece together information through exploration rather than …
I saved this game for so long and didn't play it. finally got a chance to try it. It is a tough game for me. Some escape gameplay. some jumping, somewhat walking sim. it was good to finally try it.
No!! that headless punk keeps chasing you to get the lever on that ruin walled island and got on my nerves. Not for me thanks!
Badly made game, basically a walking simulator with wonky physics, lots of unnecessary darkness and jumpscares. Did not like it at all.
Beautiful atmosphere, good puzzles, good story and absolutely terrifying.
