How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine

It's *okay*, but the puzzles are pretty much all just annoying "communicate this unclear information to your partner, but also it's not clear what information you need to communicate" - like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes but without the guardrails that establish the rules you're going to be working with first, which makes it worse. And because the bulk of the puzzle is not figuring out problems, but figuring out *what the problem is*, it's not replayable - you *could* escalate the difficulty but it would just be like "now count 12 things" instead of "now count 6 things", or "now read 12 numbers off your screen and wait for your partner to find them on their screen" instead of doing that with 6 numbers. A few of the puzzles worked as both puzzle and communication thing (the vent-maze was a good one in that it was relatively clear what you were doing, but then introduced surprises in the maze). I appreciate that you only have to buy one copy for two players, but then that also becomes an issue when the "not in the submarine" player is stuck mostly reading manuals (again, the vent-maze being a pleasant exception). got copyright claimed streaming this, thats the main reason im giving this a thumbs down. but other than that, random difficulty spikes in puzzles, poor telegraphing to get basic concepts across, just not fun.

Played after the first of the series with my gf and yes, it's a lot of fun, misunderstandings and trying to figure out what the other is seeing. The art style is still really clean and the riddles well executed. However, it is easier than the first one and is, like others said, pretty straight forward. We still loved playing a few hours together ! Great game for either couples, friends, relatives, etc !

This game got really hard near the end. Definitely harder than some others in the series. But we enjoyed. Definitely almost sparked some arguments. I carried the team.

It's a great co-op puzzle game. Most of the gameplay is still communicating symbols and scenes by caption-explaining things, but it's a great experience for two, bite-sized for one session, and well-paced. I am really looking forward to the next game in the series! Might be a bit short for its price, but hey you buy once for two players' fun!
