Players appreciate the creative sandbox concept and enjoy designing custom battles, but consistently report significant technical issues including AI that moves predictably in straight lines, poor performance with larger unit counts, camera glitches that interrupt gameplay, and customization features that don't work as advertised. While some find simple enjoyment in the battle creation mechanic, the game feels unpolished and appears rushed rather than fully realized, making it difficult to recommend except possibly at a deep discount.
Game is a complete mess. AI moves in a straight line, and I see no way to customise the AI like in the description. Game lags with large number of units, which is kind of the point. The camera flew away mid battle as I was playing for no reason. Think this was just thrown together, based on Hyper Knights because the developer could, not because it would make a fun or engaging game.2 found this helpful
I like making battles with this game. It is a rather simple game. Not much to it, but it's still fun!2 found this helpful
Hyper Knights: Battles – Where Custom Chaos Meets Epic Showdowns! 🏹🐔 Ever wanted to see Spartans throw down with Persians, or Marines duking it out with archers in an epic clash of epic proportions? Hyper Knights: Battles is your chance to make that wild dream a reality! 🤯⚔️ In this delightfully chaotic game, you’re not just watching battles unfold; you’re the mastermind behind the mayhem. Create your own units, tweak their AI to perfection, and then sit back and watch as your custom combatants wreak havoc in the arena. It’s like being a mad scientist, but with swords, shields, and a seriously offbeat sense of humor. 🛡️🔧 Think of it as a mix-and-match brawl where anything goes – Ogres can square off against chickens, and the possibilities are endless. The real fun is in experimenting with the most absurd matchups and seeing how your creations fare in battle. Who knew strategizing could be this entertaining? So, gear up, get creative, and prepare for some of the most hilariously epic battles you’ve ever seen. With Hyper Knights: Battles, it’s not just about winning; it’s about making sure your victories are as outrageous as they are satisfying. 🏆🐉 Generated with AI and <…1 found this helpful

Hyper Knights: Battles developed and published by Endless Loop Studios is a sandbox battle simulator that places creativity at the center of its design. Rather than offering a traditional real-time strategy campaign or structured progression, the game provides players with tools to design custom units, script their behavior, and stage chaotic clashes across simple 2D battlefields. It functions less as a conventional strategy title and more as an open playground for experimentation, where imagination drives the experience. The defining feature of the game is its unit editor. Players can create warriors from scratch, drawing sprites, animating movement frames, and assigning abilities or combat logic through a scripting system. This flexibility allows for an enormous range of possibilities, from historically inspired soldiers to absurd fantasy creatures with exaggerated powers. The ability to define AI behavior gives depth to creations, enabling units to charge aggressively, hold defensive lines, cast abilities conditionally, or interact with allies in customized ways. For players who enjoy tinkering and design, this system becomes the primary source of engagement. Battles themselve…
