(Not a VR controller) And there was no direction as to where to go or what the purpose was. Since the player didn’t “walk” they floated by looking in the direction they wanted to go and pressing the forward button on their VR controller. You basically float around and just vibe with the environment as you'll see different shapes, sounds, & eventually colors (you start out with black & white worlds). While, I did enjoy the experience and recommend it, after all it is free to play. I do have some criticisms. The biggest one is that there is no smooth or snap turning available. The other big complaint is that the app / game could be better optimized. I had to lower the video settings to low in order to get 72 fps, but even then my frame rate would halve in certain locations. Overall, this is very niche. If you enjoy experimental art, I think it's one you should definitely try out and see if the experience speaks to you. "HyperBody" is not a game, it's a garbage VR exclusive art exhibition from a failed and unsuccessful "artist". I assume the developer had to pay $100 to dump this on Steam because all the local art galleries took out restraining orders... as far as "art" goes this is terrible, and may induce nausea. Normally when art is bad, I might make a little joke about the incapable artist being an art school dropout, but here, no serious art school would ever accept someone this bad at art. Because this is not a game, I cannot recommend it as a game for gamers. Virtual art galleries, especially awful ones, are not games.

HyperBody is a Free VR experimental VR walking simulator blending architectural ruins, cult themes, sensorial vibes, and queer narratives. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was barely understandable. There is no or minimal instructions in-game. You need to start the program by the desktop and have your keyboard in reach to change the maps. There are six maps with different themes to see. Read the manual from the store page for instructions. Mostly 3D digital art, pictures and sound, placed in virtual space. Nothing to interact with in-game. Movement mode is Flying by gaze with left joystick to provide movement direction. Chinese text with some English translation. You will be clipping through a lot of things, very little hit detection. Maybe try this free experience, only if you are into Art.
