Crap and reminder of how old school FPS games were cool.
Should you buy this game? No. Why shouldn't you buy it? It tries lots of different things and fails at them along with having lots of bugs and incredibly bad designs. Examples? Every weapon has durability like it's an rpg, which isn't something you want in a boomer shooter, so you will need to make sure you have material to repair your weapons. It might not sound too bad, but there is only two ways of getting materials: -Hope you find it on the map/enemies drop it (which is rare) -Salvage items you come across. If you want to salvage items, you need a specific tool that is only found twice throughout the entire game, so if you missed it you are ♥♥♥♥ out of luck. You are even more out of luck if you didn't find a repair kit in early levels which is required to repair items with on top of needing materials for repairing items, which is even more punishing if you didn't find it and have a weapon you put upgrades on which are found sporadically throughout levels. Invested upgrades into that shotgun you like? Well, too bad because it's durability is now 0 and unusable. Go grab a basic one off an enemy that deals way less damage and is far less accurate that'll take way more …

HYPERVIOLENT embraces the philosophy that defined an entire generation of PC shooters: fast movement, brutal encounters, and an atmosphere thick with danger. Developed by nfoPRINCE and Terminist Arcade and published by Terminist Arcade, the game places players aboard Commodus Asteroid 27-C, a mining installation transformed into a slaughterhouse after a catastrophic incident. What begins as a mission to investigate a distress signal quickly becomes a desperate fight for survival through dark industrial corridors filled with grotesque enemies and unsettling mysteries. Rather than simply recreating the past, HYPERVIOLENT uses its retro foundation to deliver an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly distinct. The game's greatest achievement is its ability to maintain tension throughout the journey. Every area feels hostile, not just because of the enemies inhabiting it, but because of the environment itself. Narrow passageways, malfunctioning equipment, and dimly lit chambers contribute to an overwhelming sense of isolation. The asteroid facility is designed with a deliberate attention to detail, giving players the impression that they are exploring a once-functional lo…

Wow, this is a rough game. Needs more polish. Movement is stiff, jumping is more stiff. Cannot switch between 1-handed and 2-handed weapons using shoulder buttons if inventory is full. Hit detection on items and doors is restrictive. Not to mention the dozens of holes in the map to fall through. Some people cannot finish the game because of the map holes. I pushed through just barely. The final boss is obtuse and confusing in its patterns. This is an average shooter in the style of system shock (but no level up system). Rough around the edges but it is a good time. I had fun. I recommend if you are a hardcore FPS fan get this on discount. Overall rating: 7/10

Definitely get it on sale if you love System Shock, though i wouldnt bother with brutal difficulty lol or even the perma death with normal parameters since the bugs do be prevalent mostly near the end few levels. Also on rails segments sucked on ps1 games and it makes no sense to have them in a game like this hence play it on the normal diff. feels less broken id wager, gonna let them patch this baby while i finally move onto the Witcher 2. I made it to this games version of Xen, but instead of aliens its them damn eyebots that dont miss at mach ♥♥♥♥ per second, also boss basically stalks you as you platform around eye bots. so yea first time i really said " i dont care how this ends but it ends now xD"
