About Incident Commander

A small town faces a big problem, and the crisis will only get worse unless you step in. As Incident Commander, you deploy and coordinate responder teams from multiple organizations to deal with a sudden threat to the town’s citizens and property.

Incident Commander uses a light-hearted approach to the Incident Command System. The focus is on operations. Players control police, fire, EMS, air operations, school, CERT, and public works units in real-time to deal with the emerging disaster.

The game supports one to four players. A tutorial and nine scenarios provide many types of challenges, including fires, chemical spills, electrical hazards, active shooter, casualty collection, and more. The town mayor will keep an eye on your progress and track Public Safety and Incident Budget. Are you up to the task, Commander?

✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the rare take on emergency management gameplay and its small download size with online co-op support, but widely criticize the game as unfinished abandonware with only nine short missions, poor UI, inconsistent mechanics, and minimal depth that becomes repetitive once you understand the simple right-click strategy. Most agree the concept had potential but the developers abandoned development after early access, leaving a buggy, overpriced experience that lacks the complexity promised by the incident management premise.

Game is abandonware as far as I can tell, it's not refined at all, has only a couple missions with hardly any replay value, and the entire thing is an asset flip. I liked the concept, the mission ideas are neat, but it's really just "spawn everything in the game in the first minute and then right click the center of the mission." Not actually worth purchasing, especially now that it's never getting another update to fix problems, let alone add anything.

So much potential, but it feels like the developers gave up. Once the game left early-access, that was it. Basic controls of units.

I liked the game but it is buggy and very unclear, got it on sale so I might keep it but I was thinking of returning it. Had great potential

Worth 2 bucks not 20. Its to basic, lacks a good tutorial and is buggy.

This was billed as an incident management game, but at some point seems to have jettisoned all the complexities of that to become a very, very basic RTS. Pitiful amount of content, awful UI/UX, extreme micromanagement and inconsisted design choices (fire trucks don't need drivers to move, but Police/EMS do. CERT can tell a civilian to stop standing in a pool of acid but a firefighter can't, no-one knows first aid...) makes it an honestly pretty lousy game. Even Emergency did it better years ago, jank and all.
