Dev fixed some problems, so real review time. At the moment, solid 6/10 experience. (Which is not bad at all) I like short, sort-of idle games, so this is nice. The main issue is that advancing through the game unlocks all sorts of unit types... but you can advance SO fast that you never meaningfully understand what they do or why you would want them. Compound that with the advancement mechanic (prestige grants you free upgrades every time you prestige, scaling up based on the number of times) and soon none of it really seems to matter. I will admit, watching the prestige counter get to 5 or 6 and seeing it auto-fill upgrades is IMMENSELY satisfying, and getting to 15 or 16 actually crashing the game was a lot of fun. Mostly, the first run you do of the game implies there will be all sorts of choices to make and clever ways to play, but you get to prestige SO fast that it's kind of an illusion.5 found this helpful
The various systems are completely unbalanced and the game flat-out breaks once you go late enough and infinite things get generated each time you prestige. It could be a really fun game with some tuning, though. Still, it takes less than an hour and is cute and kinda fun, so I'll give it a pass. I didn't have any issues getting to the final prestige purchase. Definitely a 6/10 kind of game, though.2 found this helpful
Cute little game but there isn’t much to it. You just unlock things in a semi-random order (it doesn’t really matter) and prestige as soon as you can (I forgot that at first) and repeat until the game freezes because the upgrade tree is too big.1 found this helpful
As long as your rng is decent for the upgrades it ends very quickly, and since you have no descriptions for the prestige upgrades its entirely chance based. At least it looks nice.
Its a beautiful day in this game. Crickets are chirping, flowers are blooming... on days like these, games like this one... 𝗌𝗁𝗈𝗎𝗅𝖽 𝖻𝖾 𝖿𝗂𝗑𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗁𝖾𝗂𝗋 𝖻𝗎𝗀𝗌 nice little game though, just needs a bit of balancing
Hello Dev! I am back! Thanks for uploading the proper build! The game now runs as expected. I think if you are nice and bored and want a really funny hour of gaming this is a great game to play. As someone who doesn't have a ton of time it was a fun hour! For my current thoughts based off the current state of the game a few things. 1. Some things just could do with a better explanation. For example, when my frogs started getting blacked out due to I think the wasps, there is no indicator of what happened, or if you can revert them. Same with what certain frogs do. Obviously you can just watch and its relatively straightforward but it's never a bad idea to give a bit more info! 2. If you want to slow pacing down a bit I'd either increase the prestige cost or maybe don't unlock as many items when you prestige. I messed around for a bit to see what worked best and then just started prestiging as it always doubled so you just get exponential upgrades! It was fun seeing if I could crash the game. 3. I think the tongue frogs are broken? They were increasing the favor they gained exponentially after each attack. Say the first was 12 then 250 then 1000 then 10000 so on…
