I mean It's f**king great. I did not expect it to be this fun :)) Thanks for making this, you made my day* but it's over-decorated in terms of visuals and sound designs at times, due to the dev's bias maybe, and I fully understand that It's hard to make something feels simple yet complex at the same time. There's a problem with consistency, The game needs to look, sound, feel as a whole, It needs to feel like the same game, all the way throughout the game, from start to finish. The information needs to be consistent as well, you can't introduce too much new information, because then the game would deviate from the rest of the games that are out there. And that's not necessarily a good thing. Or if you introduce too much or too little information at different points of the game then that will be inconsistent. Unless, It really works of course. I get it that the building/ environment designs are cool and all, but that's just way too different trough out the game. Or at least, It's hard to make it work, It's hard to make it feels natural. The game needs to be different, yes, but the game needs to reach the consumer's expectation first. You have to make the game that already ex…17 found this helpful
Short version:
Indie Dream is a small but personal game about the struggles of making games. It’s simple, text-heavy, and a bit buggy at times, but those rough edges almost feel fitting. If you’ve ever thought about creating your own game, it’s a relatable and oddly inspiring experience — perfect to keep running on a second screen. The game is not even 1 dollar/euro, I'd say just buy it and check it out.
Long version:
Indie Dream is a small but surprisingly personal game. On the surface it’s very simple — the mechanics aren’t complex, and at times the gameplay feels slow or even passive. But that’s part of the charm. It’s less about flashy action and more about reflecting on what it means to make a game, and the thoughts that come with it. I ran into some technical issues, mostly with switching between English and Japanese text, which sometimes forced me to restart from checkpoints — occasionally way too far back. That was frustrating at first, but oddly enough it almost felt fitting. Dealing with small bugs became part of the experience, just like in real game development. Whether intentional or not, it added a strange sense of authenticity. Most issues w…
To be frank, I'm not sure where to put this one... While the game might have some issues and bugs here and there. The graphics and music really feel relaxing to me... I'd give it a neutral review if I could. But I do recommend this on the basis that I enjoyed it, others have, and maybe you will too! It's super affordable so at least give it a try!
Well its a good game untill it breaks in the part where u have to kill the bugs which is kinda ironically. I can say it was fun but the translation wasnt that good and well i hope it gets an update so I can play it onto the end. Maybe its only a problem in the english version but idk.
