Infested Fortress

Infested is right. I started out playing on casual mode, and it was wave after wave after wave of impossible to kill monsters. You don't get any time to actually play the game because you're being attacked by massive things that just wipe you out straight away. Even spending all your time just pumping up your characters and ignoring the rest of your base building you can barely make it past the first couple of fights before you've been wiped out. And that's on CASUAL?!?! I dread to think how unplayable the harder levels are....!

Great turn-based strategy game, if not a little short. The other reviews that say bosses are immune to everything or that Sorcerer trash mobs aren't quite using their kit to full effect. You can knockdown mobs, you can dispel their shields, you can LOS caster mobs so they cant hit their intended target, you can DRAIN boss action points/energy, and you can summon and position minions to take hits. You can always see what enemy mobs intend to do if you mouse over them and adjust accordingly. Just be sure to keep checking because the mobs actions adjust to each of your actions. All in all, it was a good time and making a nice organized base, upgrading character gear to the highest tier, and supporting 11 characters was pretty fun. My NO HEALTH LOST dragon kill was the following party with how I built them out: Knight (Tank) Champion (Tank) Warlock (negate damage, energy burn) Fire Mage (Aoe, Knockdown) Ice Mage (Single Target, Knockdown) Ranger (Bow/Poison) Hunter (Bow/Bleed) Priest (Healer/Lightning) Monk (Healer/Dispel) Slayer (Single Target) Assassin (Single Target)

I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments about the difficulty and bugs. It's a nice game and I've managed to finish it on my second attempt and didn't suffer from any major bug (just 1 crash),

this is the first review i think ive ever done, and im really annoyed, i like the game, i like building stuff, then impossible dragons come down, that get 5 attacks during there go, that all deal 200 damage???? is there something im missing or how are you ment to beat these things

Honestly a great skeleton of a game that scratches a good itch, I just wish it wasn't abandoned.

I haven't played this game to long but I am enjoying the game and it seems its not getting much of a push. You enter a mountain with a small group and you are creating a foothold into the mountain. You must manage resource gathering, leveling up for combat, crafting and equipping your team with quality weapons. The game is frustrating and you may need to restart a few times to figure out the strategy, but I am enjoying the challenge and this game seems like I will be able to sink tons of hours into it. Worth a shot....
