Over 50 brick-breaking levels with branching paths, different outcomes and hidden level mechanics to uncover. Physics-based puzzles and unique mini-games stand between you and your enemy. Make the right choice on virus-ridden levels or endure pop-ups, worm bricks and more as you attempt to clear the game. An original synthwave score to compliment the cyberspace aesthetic. Arcade mode filled with over 60 levels and NG+ for those that can survive it.

Ionball 2 had some serious issues with mouse control that affected a lot of users and the developer never addressed it. So I was skeptical about Ionball 3. I went ahead and made the purchase, and glad I did. It's a great game. Arcade mode is pretty much regular breakout except you have some ball control by dragging the mouse in the direction to influence the ball. Story mode has lots of interesting puzzles to solve along with breakout style play. I also really like the soundtrack, however it would be better if the music was queued by events rather than just being a repeating playlist. Some of the songs have this "boss fight" intensity but it just seems weird when one of those tracks come on mid level. I could also make the argument this game is too easy. But breakout is a pretty casual game to start with so that is fine. The game does allow saving your progress in both Story and Arcade mode so you don't have to finish a game in one sitting. The visual style is pretty cool too... and most importantly, the mouse control is spot on, so no worries about that.3 found this helpful

Anyone looking for a way to play breakout in 2026 - this is the game. I've searched high and low. Not interested in horizontal / platform breakout, just interesting puzzles and breakout/Arkanoid. REALLY AWESOME JOB WITH THIS!!!! Makes me want to look into Ionball 1 and 2
In only my first half hour I already noticed several problems. - Text of some elements is hard to read - The ball can get stuck in the air between the paddle and the play area - When the ball is hit in specific angles with the paddle, it suddenly speeds up - Some levels seemed to have lower framerates than others - Controller support seems a bit wonky and unresponsive on the Steam Deck Quite frankly there are better Breakout / Brick Breaker like games. Though I admit I liked the cyberspace and hacking design. Sadly the game falls quite flat in all other areas.
