Isekat is a cute roguelite typing game with charming art direction and an engaging loop that keeps players coming back for more runs, though it suffers from repetitive stage design that requires multiple playthroughs to unlock everything. While the typing-based combat is fun and the adorable aesthetic resonates strongly with players, the game lacks difficulty settings and can feel too easy for faster typists, with some frustration around unclear progression systems like the catnip farm tracker. Despite these issues, players appreciate the earnest isekai premise, character design, and the devel
I saw this game first time at a booth at Singapore Doujima Market. I found it interesting and buy it on steam immediately. The artwork was good. The music at the starting screen and in the cat town reminds me of those old school RPG or MMO games. This is a typing game with a standard save the world story. Some of the dialogues between the cat and the bossess are interesting. Starting of the game was easy enough. But it gets harder as you progress through the stages. The words become very long and my typing slows down a bit. Recommended to built up the cat town in order to improve your stats so that you will have an easy time going through the later stages. Overall, a good game. Support our local developer as this is their first game.1 found this helpful
Too much cats
I played a good couple of hours and I like the game overall. My plan is to finish it at some point in time but there is a thing... I'll get to it further down. Recommendation: I'd recommend this game for everyone who already has mastered basic 10 fingers typing. Better even if someone has used the system for some years and just wants to get faster. What I like about the game: The overall game loop with rebuilding the village, going into the dungeons and collecting more catnip is engaging enough to keep me playing. I also like the different reward systems: Streak system for typing, extra catnip in the dungeons, stuff in the village and more. Saving more cats really feels rewarding. The typing is solid, too. No issues so far. The block mechanic is kinda cool especially if more enemies attack at the same time. The words are meaningful and I notice some improvements in my day to day typing. A few things to improve; The biggest downside is getting back into the game after some days or weeks. I feel the dungeon curve is quite steep so I'm having a hard time pressing on. Sure, there is a warmup but I feel it does not give any progress in the actual game, so I don't do it. => An idea…
A wonderful game! I thororughly enjoyed the typing mechinics and how challenging it gets after each stage. ...I am off to rest my fingers now. :3
Got the game after seeing it at Doujima!! Fairly easy typing game ; start off with simple words in the first stage and go on to bigger ones later on in the game. Other then that its mostly your typing speed and watching the enemy attack patterns! (@self type faster woi) Can get a lil repetative (🧍🏻♂️ cuz i keep dying but hey i maxxed out the catnip-) 😔👌🏻👌🏻 but it just means more time to stare at the cats in town Joke answer ; i can finally be a keyboard warrior and not get canceled
I'm a simple girl, I see a cat game.... I click wishlist! Hidden behind the cute aesthetics is a rougelite typing game. I thought it was a really cool concept to fight through dungeons with the power of your keyboard. As a kid who grew up competitively playing typing tests against friends, this game scratched that itch and triggered a good sense of nostalgia. I can't stop talking about the art to my friends, everything is so adorable!! Some characters were also questionably awakening something in me.....maybe? Ehem... Serval, Tiger, and Jaguar are so attractive!! There, I said it!! >.< I also love the pop culture references they sprinkled all across the game, gives me a good chuckle when it finally clicks in my brain. I had to pause because I needed to grow my nails long for some reason, but I'll be definitely continue and finish this game some time soon!
