Don't make a game free and then charge for it. That's not even unethical or anything, it's just plain ess tee u pee i dee, it just shows you don't know what you're doing.2 found this helpful
it’s always monday, developed and published by Alon Zubina, is a short, introspective first-person experience that trades traditional gameplay for atmosphere and thematic exploration. Rather than presenting a clear objective or challenge, it invites players into a surreal interpretation of routine and identity, using a familiar office setting as the foundation for something far more abstract. It’s less a game in the conventional sense and more an interactive reflection on monotony, perception, and the unsettling feeling of being stuck in an endless loop. The experience places players in the role of Bob, an office worker whose seemingly ordinary life begins to unravel in subtle and increasingly strange ways. The gameplay is minimal, consisting primarily of walking through environments, interacting with objects, and triggering events that gradually reveal fragments of a larger idea. There are no complex systems, no combat, and no traditional puzzles to solve. Instead, progression is tied to exploration and observation, encouraging players to pay attention to small details and shifts in the environment. I find myself extremely on the fence about this one. How short is too short? How minimalist is too minimalist? I will admit, once I figured out what the game was doing and what it expected of me, I had a little bit of fun with finding the five triggers that I needed to escape. This game has the absolute bare minimum in terms of a narrative exploration game. A very small space. Literally five puzzles, though calling them 'puzzles' is extremely generous. For a game that you can easily complete in 19 minutes, featuring this little content, there should not be any grammatical issues. I understand that English is not everyone's first language, but one of the first people that I spoke with had errors in their grammar. As I understand, this game used to be free. It then went up to 99 cents, and then again up to $2. I picked it up for a whopping 50% off and paid the dollar for it. I hate to say it, but it feels a bit like a scam. That all said, again, I had about five minutes of enjoyment. The "psychological horror" and "arty" labels that people are throwing around are completely unearned. There is no deep message here about depression or the boredom of corporate life. That is all…
it sure is always monday
