Take Control
Fly using the innovative and immersive virtual stick and throttle, popularized by VTOL VR, or bind your hardware HOTAS! The key to victory is mastering control of your aircraft and finding the perfect racing line. Life-like aerodynamics and physics are simulated, so fundamental racing concepts like braking points and apexes apply. If you're familiar with road racing, you may need to adjust your technique -- there's now a third dimension and instead of being limited by traction, you need to consider the limits of G-forces on the pilot!
Feel the Need
Throttle up your lightweight race jets and propel yourself at supersonic speeds around winding courses. You can only handle so much force before you begin to black out -- if you carry too much speed into the corner, you might lose control! Will you risk G-LOC (G-force induced loss of consciousness) to come out in first on the other side? Can you ride the fine line between pushing the limits and wiping out in a blaze of glory?

Host online races for up to 8 players or play offline to chase the ghost of your own best lap and set personal records. Find the perfect racing line and shave milliseconds from your lap time to climb the global leaderboards. Customize the racing experience with options for damage, powerup items, laps, respawns, etc.

"now thats what I call podracing!"
There is something suspect about this game.. The game does not fly like a jet, it only can fly like a space vehicle. If you think of the track like a half hemisphere tube with no up, no down, no left, no right this game becomes easy to pilot. Again, even though the game devs made a game with a "Jet" IT IS NOT A JET!! To turn you must CLIMB ONLY, rotate your space vehicle on roll then climb into your "turn", there is no rudder in space. Throttle is used as a space vehicle thruster not a throttle for an aircraft and roll behaves like a roll thruster not a alieron. Rudder is only a gryoscopic space vehicle pitch and not a aircraft rudder so it will keep you going in motion but only slide the space vehicle as you enter or exit a climbing "turn". Game devs if your motives where not malicious to the gamers, change the models from jet to space vehicle and this game would make more sense to all the gamers out there that would like to play it.. Once I figured out this game WAS NOT JETS but SPACE VEHICLES I beat the first place pilots every time and lapped them. EASY! I was expecting this to be a proof-of-concept for BahamutoD to figure out how to make a game. That's what this is. A bit buggy and unpolished. Jetborne is ultimately a stepping stone to a better game. Everyone wants to dogfight, right? Just play VFM or that other game BahamutoD made.
finally got this again after the 3 or so years since the free weekend, cannot wait to race people again!! :~)))
