The main mode of the game is the campaign, which consists of around 100 consecutive stages that must be completed in order. Once a stage is cleared, it cannot be replayed, but there’s little reason to do so anyway, as there are no hidden collectibles, branching objectives, or alternate outcomes to explore. The game conveniently saves your progress at the current stage, allowing you to pick up right where you left off at any time. Your primary objective is simple: place your units on the battlefield and defeat all enemy forces. At the start of the campaign, you only have access to a chef unit, while new ones unlock progressively as you advance. Units correspond to a profession, so you have construction workers, scientists, cashiers, and so on. Each stage limits how many units you can deploy, and this cap typically reflects the number of enemies on the field. [h1][b]A clone of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (TABS)[/b][/h1]Although the title includes the word “Physics,” the actual physics elements are quite modest. As a game, it’s playable without major technical issues. As someone who’s spent thousands of hours playing TABS, I can’t help but notice some rough edges and frustrations in comparison. However, since it’s still in Early Access, there’s plenty of room for improvement and potential ahead. [h1][b]Units[/b][/h1]Each unit is themed around a profession — chefs, doctors, soldiers, and more — all drawn in a quirky, hand-painted style that looks as if it were made with MS Paint and a mouse. You’ll even find bizarre units like the “President,” who unmistakably resembles Donald Trump, and the “Gen Z Office Worker,” who sits on a toilet and shoots toilet paper and filth. There are 26 regular-sized units and 4 large boss units with high health. Each unit has multiple attack types, and almost all of them seem to include some form of ranged attack.
